@Mikekantorski Yea that’s true. I’m waiting for lidar anyways 😅 so I won’t be getting an R2 until late this year or early next year.

Well if you want that coastal cloud interior on a launch edition be prepared to wait until late 2026

@Mikekantorski Right?! I guess you’d have to order it and just wait? Doesn’t feel very launchy to me 😅. Also Rivian has those two colors for the R1 series… so idk why you’d have to wait a year to get it in that color.

@Hilbe That’s like the worst time to move out here 😭 there’s also a Nissan test track very close by as well. I saw a Lamborghini Urus being tested once around town and then returning back to the VW track, same with a couple of Porsches.

We’ve only seen a few production R2 colors in the wild. I’ve seen Catalina Cove, Glacier White, and Half Moon. Notably missing are Esker Silver and Midnight. We know Forest Green and Borealis come later. Limiting the first R2 to a few colors and options is the right move. Simplification during the ramp is key.

So my wife donates like $500 a year (plus company match) to her Alma Mater @HollinsSwimming and they send her swim caps almost every year & this year they sent this. I guess she’s the only alumni that constantly donates to their program.

Also extending the young alumni “discount” to all donating ranges, not just the first level.

I donate $3k (w/company match) to @VMIAthletics and I just get a thank you card, stickers & parking passes (I live in AZ). I feel like @vmialumni needs to figure out a better system for rewarding consistent donating. Also better swag for @VMIKeydetClub as well.

@KevinMelnuk @TesCalendar1 I’m trying to convince my wife who drives 84 miles 3x a week to get an EV… especially after she put $4k into her ‘16 rav4 with like 120k miles on it…

@KevinMelnuk @TesCalendar1 You’re telling me 😭 thankfully I work from home and most of my driving is just around town… but unless it’s road trips I drive to Chandler, Prescott Valley, Tucson, etc.

The diesel RV we had before this averaged 6.7mpg. That’s exactly $1/mi 🤯 Even when using DCFC, our cost is ~$0.40/mi. When home charging, it’s just $0.12/mi. Please someone tell me how EVs don’t save you money 😂
