You could use the same argument for caffeine and energy supplements though. Everything else can be regulated. It will not be without its problems, but leaving it in the black market actually makes it easier for youth to get a hold of it and leads to deaths too. That's not even counting the fact that MJ leads to a better lifestyle and mental health for those who it helps

Weed today isn't the same it was 20 years ago. States have gained significant tax revenue, created jobs, and reduced low-level marijuana arrests after legalization. However, these benefits come with trade-offs like increased public health concerns, impaired driving, and a persistent black market. Whether it’s a net positive depends on whether you value economic and criminal justice gains more than the social and health drawbacks. Today I'm against it. If you need an escape, find better ways to do it.

It's really sad and it shouldn't be common but the government shouldn't be regulating it. Proper regulation and education can actually lead to safer driving and allow police to free up their time to focus on fent and harder drugs that need to be taken down. We can actually save more doing that. Regulation can also help prevent unnecessary deaths. Just look at guns as a good example. Yes there are bad situations that occur, but you also can't eliminate every death.

@sweatystartup Austin has great weather for like 10 months out of the year. Theres a few weeks of really hot afternoons in the summer. Otherwise it is a temperate subtropical climate just like everywhere else in the sunbelt. It freezes like once every 3 years.

A lot to love about Texas. The culture. Food. People. But it has the worst weather on earth. 98+ in the summer. Freeze waves and brutal wind in the winter. Short shoulder season with flashes of both. It would be hard to live there year round.

“No direct fatalities” ≠ “no deaths involving weed.” Cannabis can still contribute to death indirectly:Car accidents (impairment slows reaction time) Heart issues in some people (rare but documented) Severe anxiety/psychosis leading to risky behavior Some deaths get classified under other causes, even if cannabis played a role.
