So I slept with this guy once about fifteen years ago.
And that night he made sure to tell me he was super unavailable. Went on a whole thing about it. Girls who text too much, clingy behavior, all of that. Really made his position very clear.
I said bet and moved on. Took him at his word, respected his boundaries, directed my energy elsewhere. Exactly what he asked for.
That was fifteen years ago.
This man still messages me. Randomly. Out of nowhere. Asking to see me again. Fifteen years of occasional messages from the guy who sat across from me and explained at length why he wasn't available and didn't want anyone being clingy.
I just want to take a moment with the irony of that.
He was so concerned about girls texting too much that he has now personally been texting me on and off for fifteen years. That is a long time to still be reaching out to someone you were very clear you didn't want reaching out to you. He has been doing the exact thing he complained about other people doing except .......

Went on date, he said he wasn’t hungry for now which made me the only one that ordered. He stood up and said he wanted to use the toilet so I believed he has absconded as I’ve seen similar news on twitter So I paid for my stuff and told them to pack for me cos I would be leaving any moment. He came back to see my food packed and he said “ why did you pack the food or is this another one?” I told him I thought he wasn’t coming back. He felt offended for thinking he wasn’t coming back so he asked to pay I said I have paid and I was about to leave. He just blurted “ me run away because of 30k food?? Are you mad???” Omo everybody for that setting turned and were looking at us. Shame wear me face cap, I wished the ground could open so I can seek asylum in it.

A friend of mine is getting married tomorrow right here in Abuja.
According to him,he told me that he isn't marrying his wife because he really loves her but because she is a good girl and a virgin.

💔My younger brother called me yesterday and said:
“Please don't be angry, but I need your advice”
I asked what happened.
He said his wife gave birth 3 weeks ago and they've been arguing ever since.
Apparently, during her pregnancy, she lost her job.
So for almost a year, my brother paid the rent, hospital bills, feeding, baby items, transportation, everything.
Last week, his wife received a call from a company she had interviewed with months ago.
They offered her a job and everyone was excited.
But problem started when she got her first salary.
My brother said he casually asked what she planned to do with it.
She replied:
“It's my money. I've suffered enough. I want to enjoy my salary for once”
He laughed and thought she was joking but she wasn’t.
A few days later, she bought a new phone, expensive wigs, clothes and booked a spa appointment.
Meanwhile, according to him, their rent expires in two months and the baby's hospital bills are still hanging.
He said he wasn't expecting her to hand over her entire salary.
But he felt hurt that after carrying the family alone for so long, she didn't even think of contributing anything voluntarily.
When he complained, she got angry and said:
“Just because you helped your family doesn't mean I owe you my salary”
Now both families have joined the matter.
The wife's family says she's entitled to enjoy the first salary she has earned after months of pregnancy and childbirth.
My brother's family says marriage is partnership, not a place where one person carries all the burden while the other spends freely.
They're both refusing to apologize and I’m confused here.
He asked me last night:
“Am I wrong for feeling hurt… or is she right to enjoy her first salary like this because I’m new in marriage. Is this how it is?💔”
I don’t even know what to tell him.

@47kasz Terminating while I have the chance or the option at least. There’s really no need bringing a child to the world and he/she has to be dependent on someone else for the rest of his or her life even for basic things. It’s cruel.

I think the keyword here is primary responsibility, not exclusive responsibility.
A father is expected to be the primary provider, while a mother is expected to be the primary caregiver. That doesn't mean either of them cannot assist each other. In a healthy home, both partners step in wherever necessary.
The problem starts when people pretend there are no distinct responsibilities at all. A man helping with the kids doesn't stop him from being a father, and a woman contributing financially doesn't stop him from being the provider.
Partnership works best when both people understand their primary roles and still support each other when needed.

The comments here has made me know that most of you don’t know what Primary roles and responsibilities are.
It is a father’s primary responsibility to provide food, shelter, clothes, protection, school fees, food etc for the home. If the wife does any of that, she is HELPING the man because it is not her responsibility.
Same way it is the mother’s PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY to cook, bathe the kids, care for them, make sure they eat, clean the home, wash plates etc. if the man decides to do any of that he is HELPING her.
So don’t come here and say “are they not your kids”?
You would have said the man should breastfeed the children when they were babies because it is not the woman’s responsibility.
