@nut_history Sunday, July 30, 1967, game 2 of a doubleheader with over 30,000 fans won by Reds 3-2 as Gerry Arrigo outdueled Joe Niekro. Pete Rose singled in Chico Ruiz and Tommy Harper and Vada Pinson had the other RBI. Ron Santo and Ted Savage knocked in the Cubs runs.

On 4/28/1970 Tony Perez hit his 10th HR of the season, clanging it off the Crosley Field flag pole in left-center. On 4/28/2026, Elly De La Cruz hit his 10th HR of the season into the left field seats. The 10 HRs are the most by a Red before May. #Reds

@cammillerfilms I kept a Doggie rookie card in my wallet for 40-ish years and it finally deteriorated enough that I gave it a proper send-off.

For over 30 years, I have had this Tracy Jones card in my wallet. He was my fav player. Amazingly, I have met a lot of players in my line of work, but somehow we have never crossed paths. If we do, I will show him this and thank him for inspiring me as a ballplayer to give 100%.

Miami of Ohio may be the worst team to ever be 31-0 at anything but if they lose their conference tournament they still better be in the NCAA draw. The 11th best team in the SEC can fuck all the way off.
