What is the purpose me making content? As a day trader with 2 years of experience in the online space I see a huge gap that needs to be filled. There is more information for new traders (sub 1 year) than anyone would ever need & there is enough information on how the top traders trade and function than we will ever need. The same shit gets repeated over and over again. The gap that needs to be filled is the actual boots on the ground legwork to figure out how to get from point A to Z. My mission is to publish the thoughts and conversations I am having with myself & others to start to develop that blueprint that shows how to get from a breakeven trader to a 7 figure trader - Its not if its when.

We really need a trading podcast that focuses on the REALITY of trading, with a dash of personality that allows guests to come on and actually be themselves as opposed to fitting into a corporate box that doesn’t allow you to laugh A podcast that shows the industry from every angle, not just, ‘learn how to become a profitable trader from the most basic cardboard box I could find’

I haven’t had a serious drawdown since the 1980s—just a few single-digit down years in over three decades. How? A deep respect for risk and unconditional patience. A few key rules: 1. Always cut losses short - no big losses. no exceptions! 2. Only trade large on the heels of smaller trades working 3. Always trade progressively smaller when trades aren't working 4. Never average down 5. Never let a good-size gain turn into a loss 6. No forced trades - no style drift

@gfc4 curious to hear what @markminervini has to say, i would assume he is one of those

If I brought real prop trading into the retail trading world, would there be interest?

Today is a major milestone for my businesses. I’m not sharing numbers—just understand this was a level most people will never touch. And I’m only saying this for one reason: Never let other people’s limits become your ceiling. Most advice is given by people who quit, settled, or never even tried. If you listen to them, you inherit their excuses. If you can see it clearly in your mind—and you’re willing to pay the cost of success—it’s already achievable. There is no single path to financial freedom. But there is a non-negotiable rule: Do not let anyone else decide what you’re capable of. You'd be surprised, I do feel pressure now for what's next? It was almost easier to set big goals when you have nothing, now I have to challenge myself to go even bigger.

This weekend got me thinking about prop firms vs personal cash accounts. I like many people got into prop firms to get access to more capital. So if you are using prop firms get accounts with a lot of drawdown. For example FTMO will give you $10K static drawdown on a 100K account for $600. That makes sense. But if you are paying $400 for a $50k account that has $2K trailing drawdown you are better off trading your own $2K personal cash account. So if you are using prop firms, use them to get access to larger capital that makes sense! Not small accounts that you waste your money on.

@BTCs_Podcast is low key my favorite trading podcast in the game right now for sheer fact that it is HONEST and RAW. Tune in 🎶
Randy Bains@TheRandyBains

@iamzarb didn’t just survive the prop firm grind — he built his way to nearly six figures in payouts this year. It’s not luck... it’s staying consistent when most would quit. 🎙️ Full convo on Behind the Charts — link in bio.

Peter, I am a 23 year old net losing trader so far, been working on my craft for 2 years or so. I have traded "prop" and personal accounts and lost money trading both (more on prop as of now). I am at a fork in the road feeling stuck spending money on "prop" accounts and losing them vs just depositing all those fees into a small live account and working on it slowly. I see the benefit in both but am very unsure as to what I should actually choose to do.

As a career five decade trader of real futures contracts with real money (all mine) I have no time or interest in sitting with losing trades. My only job as a trader is to manage my losers. Winners have a way of taking care of themselves

UPDATE 🚨 Broke my 4-Day Losing Streak today. That 4th day tested me hard, but I stayed down until I came up, trusted my system and probabilities to carry me through. Lesson: Red days don’t break you, losing faith in your edge does. Here’s the proof

Full Transparency: This is why it’s so important to BELIEVE in probabilities. I’m on a 3-day red streak with beautiful executions & risk on my end It’s just my losing expectancy + current market conditions playing out. Not happy about it at all but I know the game I’m playing.
