Pure electric heating (resistance heaters, boilers, etc.) uses far more electricity globally than the whole Bitcoin mining industry, probably ~20X+ more, in some regions a lot more. Technically (with a few reasonable assumptions) both convert electricity to heat at ~100% efficiency. Electric heating is vastly larger and almost never questioned.
All of this electric heating is 100% thermodynamically waste heat w/ no secondary output
… whereas Bitcoin mining (if used properly) has at least 3 uses:
- also ~100% heat
- produces digital value (BTC) and
- offers an automated global, decentralized notary service.
Obviously, mining hardware is more expensive than plain electric heaters, but wondering why don’t we make it mandatory to provably reuse the heat across miners, so nobody complains anymore? Not fully practical, but ethical eh? How could we solve that? Is it even solvable or like carbon credits it’s hackable and impossible to track accurately?

Soros’s Open Society Foundation has funneled $32 billion into 120 countries since 1993. Including $1.7 billion into US district attorney campaigns and immigration advocacy.
Every dollar is now under federal review.

The “Soros DAs” — the district attorneys he funded across America — 14 of them received federal target letters this week.
— Alvin Bragg (Manhattan) — the man who indicted Trump. Now under investigation for receiving $1.1 million from Soros-linked PACs while prosecuting a political opponent.
— Kim Foxx (Chicago) — dropped charges on 25,000 felony cases. Received $2 million from Soros.
— George Gascón (LA) — recalled by voters. Now facing federal charges for obstruction.
— Larry Krasner (Philadelphia) — $1.7 million from Soros. Murder rate tripled.
They weren’t prosecutors. They were operatives. Paid by a foreign-born billionaire to dismantle American justice from the inside.
