Well there’s alot of great games out there besides roblox like most game developers developed games for y’all to play like subway surfers, steam games, wii games, nitendo games and so on the only reason i have on why roblox is falling off is because of the pathetic updates lately
XxMakio ꕤ@XxMakio

This might be the end of Roblox. 🧵

Well idk how many states in the US have sued for safety measures but my god y’all didn’t respond to all attorney general in THE US ITS BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS & ALL YALL DO IS GIVING US TERRIBLE UPDATES LIKE FEET AND FINGERS NOT TO MENTION ROBLOX IN SOME COUNTRIES ARE STILL BANNED
RTC@Roblox_RTC

Indiana is suing Roblox. The Attorney General is alleging the platform has not made sufficient measures to protect children against predators online, and the effectiveness of the safety features that were released “remain to be seen”.

Tbh I feel bad for hazem and to all donation game developers cause it hurts seeing their creation getting ruined without announcing anything like hazem is the only one that changed roblox on how to get robux like this is a historical reality and roblox ruined it all
hazem@haz3m_

Roblox is removing cross-game gamepass sales and forcing a $5/month requirement just to donate, with a 1,000 Robux monthly limit. This will kill PLS DONATE. PLS DONATE is built around cross-game gamepass sales, a system that’s free for players and has no limits. Removing it doesn’t just change things, it kills the game completely. I wasn’t made aware of this change before it was announced. No warning, no chance to give my input or feedback before they announce this change. I’ve been developing on this platform since I was 12 and have always loved making games on Roblox, so seeing something this impactful happen overnight without real consideration is genuinely upsetting. This means a lot to me and I’m really sad about this. The solution Roblox gave us is the Transfer API, which really isn’t a solution and still affects us heavily. It’s locked behind a $5/month subscription, capped at 1,000 Robux per month, and under-18 users require parental approval for EVERY SINGLE transaction. That completely changes the experience. If transferring Robux is going to be paid, gamepasses need to coexist. Removing them ruins everything and doesn’t stop bad actors from just purchasing through the site anyway. It doesn’t make sense. I really don’t want to build hatred toward this platform. I love Roblox and still believe in it, and if it truly cares about its developers, I’m sure there are better solutions that keep users safe without killing our game. @Roblox @DavidBaszucki

Developing on Roblox is cool and all until they completely destroy your income without ANY prior notice. That’s how things are and will always be. Terrifying.

While this update does not directly affect me as I do not own a cut of PLS DONATE whatsoever, the update is still really unthoughtful and it does not make any sense for Roblox to enable donation games directly in 2022 by changing their Terms of Service for specifically that purpose, then now switch up and add a new system with a ridiculously low limit and locking it behind a paywall. There's players who live in countries with ridiculously low minimum wages, people whose parents can barely afford any food for the month, those people will not even be able to get any Robux without a linked parent account, let alone even be able to receive any Robux since they do not have spare $5 every single month. Adding clothes would also be extremely inconvenient, as there are low rate limits, you need Plus (again) to keep your clothes onsale and it also costs around 10 Robux per clothing asset to be uploaded in the first place. The only solution there is, is to revert the update entirely. As Hazem stated in his own statement, this would affect PLS DONATE if the update launches with the current plan. When I talked to Roblox Staff directly, I have criticized all of those points too. Commission earnings (donations) are usually a substantial part of social hangout game earnings (approx. 30%+), so I also feel sorry for Neighbors, Mic Up and every other affected game. #Roblox #RobloxDev $RBLX @Roblox

The reason Roblox is making this change is to eliminate the middleman. Hazem & Pls Donate is effectively just a middleman who takes a skim off transactions, which Roblox pays out via devex. Roblox simply thought "instead of paying someone several million dollars a year, why don't we implement our own donation tool AND bill Roblox users for it along the way?" Doesn't matter how big the game is or who made it, Roblox has no use for the game anymore. Pls Donate was made popular due to the lack of a proper Roblox feature for donations. That feature is now here. Wish the Pls Donate team the best of luck, my advice is to accept it's over and move on to new projects because I don't see Roblox adjusting this whatsoever.

Roblox will no longer allow games to sell gamepasses from other games starting from May 29th. As a mandatory replacement, Roblox is introducing the Transfers API. You must be age-checked or have a linked parental account to either receive or send Robux. Any Robux will immediately be received upon you accepting the Robux. You will receive 90% of the Robux, instead of the previous 60%; however, 10% still goes to the game's creator. To send Robux, you must be subscribed to Roblox Plus. Roblox currently only allows a 1,000 Robux maximum to be sent per month. You will not be able to cancel any transfer. Additionally, you can transfer Robux on the "Buy Robux" page or by donating it to a user's page. If you are under the age of 18, your parent must approve each transfer request. Any request not accepted within a week will be sent back to the person who initially sent it. Any Robux earned from transfers are not DevEx-able.
