Does anyone know if and who repairs these monitors? Corners are cracked and the touch functionally makes you think you’re drunk.

Trying to keep my emotions outta this one, but man. This is a tough pill to swallow. John Deere 13.6 lt. 1600 hrs on the engine. Been maintained as it should, and looks like it’s going to be getting a crate engine.. Out of warranty… i sure hope this isn’t the standard for late model equipment, if it is, we are in for a world of hurt… Local dealer has been awesome to us so far. No complaints there. Curious if we will see any help from the top or if we are going to be on our own with this one…

@drew4955 Yikes…not good. Can’t say we’ve seen any failures from 13.6L’s in our dealer org yet. Hopefully your dealer and Deere can help you out on it.

@ThomasWBird Just got the pan off today, to find the carnage. Looks like multiple main and rod bearings are spun. No idea why yet.

@agrivation1 @MarkLuymes Harder to find a 5spd FH drive on a class 7 machine, but getting to be more of them out there. Not that expensive of an option really. For anyone running an 8 row chopping head, we highly suggest it. High torque variable will do it, but it’s maxing out the limits of it.

@MarkLuymes For as long as the 5spd has been around I can’t figure why they aren’t more common. I’ve never been around one. Even on newer stuff. Must be a pricey option? Basically a powershift,correct? Have heard of a few fixed drives and adjust sprockets for corn head. That seems less fun

Combine doing combine things…. Can’t say I’ve seen it break right off like that before. Fixed a couple that the pin broke out of the plate though

Recommendations for a liquid fertilizer system to go on on a air seeder with variable rate control, section control capable and isobus connected.

@CRNAfarmer2 JD 9770 STS would be a good machine, keep up on maintenance and wear items, and they will go for a long time

Budget build harvesting unit - Got to be easy to service and rebuild. Be able to handle 30-35' flex draper and 8 row head. What's your pick?

@Plantmore1 @JohnDeere 300 hr machine. This year so far.. Electrical gremlins Rear tire sidewall let go and could only get through Deere. 6 weeks downtime. Shaker cam shaft. Shaker pan connected and driven by Rivets. They let go. Clean grain return table cracks.

This X9 is the single biggest source of frustration and anger in my life. @JohnDeere should be ashamed of themselves.

New S7 800 has 9 pin can bus coupler to hook the header up on the single point connection. Do we need an adapter box and cord to hook the older style Geringhoff corn head to it? What’s the best source for it?

@farmerdan97 For small grains, soybeans, crops other than corn, an advanced powercast works good. Especially if you plan to run a 45ft header. A regular powercast tail board will struggle to spread 40ft on a good day.

Does anybody know anything about Deere’s Advanced PowerCast Tailboard?

@kyledecorte If looking at a 2018/2019 machine, make sure all the PIP’s have been done to it. Maintenance wise, best thing you can do is keep the system rinsed out and use 80 mesh screens in the boom. Keep a couple spare nozzle bodies on hand. Once guys have one, you don’t see them go back 🤷🏻‍♂️

Guys running exact apply sprayers all would never go back to traditional nozzle bodies ? Are there any watch outs or concerns ?

Does anyone else with a chopping corn head run into residue patterns in the fall & following spring? Based on blade rotation, we end up with strips of high residue butting up to each other & bare strips from opposite side of the head. Any cures? JD 712FC for reference.
