Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick was indicted for allegedly stealing $5 million in federal disaster funds 3. Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett slandered Republicans for taking money from Jeffrey Epstein....just not THAT Jeffrey Epstein. Then she went on CNN and doubled down. If Democrats want to make the case they are the true pro-democracy party, they need to start acting like it.

It’s a sad day for our nation. Our government shuts down at midnight. I voted AYE to extend ACA tax credits because I support them—but I won’t vote for the chaos of shuttering our government. My vote was our country over my party. Together, we must find a better way forward.
