@Mengu09 When ragavan was creating havoc in legacy I was really hoping they unban deathrite to spice things up😅 It might have helped with the reanimator/oops all spells issue that plagued last year too. But who knows? Could have made the format worse.

Dusted of the old Child of Alara deck to play at the LGS last night. Everyone laughed, salt was high… board states were destroyed multiple times over. After many agonizing turns I was able to mazes end out. It’s a fun deck… but maybe only fun to play twice a year.😅🫣

Played Brigid last night and she kinda cooks. Had fast wins, surprising ability to interact, and just enough stax to slow people down to win.

Anyone that thinks this deck randomly is a top 3 deck is wrong. It’s not THAT good. If you are thinking about building it, go play it in a tournament and you will get bodied. This deck will have a worst conversion rate then T&T

Now this sort of tournament structure isn’t as fun as a win a dual, but it would create a different play experience. F2F cedh events already does win event tix per round and you can see the difference in game play. Not saying throw out the old systems, just experiment!

Hot take: Cedh has a draw issue because the tournament prizing structure. I’m incentivized to draw my way into a final game where I can win a card/cash. Now if the final card/ cash payout was dependent on my record … I might play differently. 🤷♂️

@flawed_has_been @UsagiKaede1 Can definitely miss. When I play yuriko I try not to rely on blind flips. There’s enough top deck tutors / top deck manipulation to close out the game. In my experience , flip for tempo, then close out the game with a couple tutored big flips. (Or just tutor thoracle wins🤣).
