We have had another amazing response to stallholders wanting to come to the fair. Thank you again for your ongoing support. All stalls spaces have now been filled with a wonderful collection of people coming to the fair. The full list of stallholders will be on our website.

Planning for Sunday 1 December is underway. If you are on our mailing list - stallholder information packs should be in your inbox. If you want to apply to be a stallholder at the fair this year, email Thorndon.fair@gmail.com.

The rain has eased at the fair. $10 to fill a bag of books. $5 a bag for children’s books until 3pm.

All the stalls are marked…. Books all sorted… weather forecast is looking better. See you all tomorrow.

On Sunday we will be running raffles. We are incredibly lucky to donations from Micro Scooters Australia & NZ, New World Thorndon, Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne Ecosanctuary, Centre Port and Shut Up and Dance. Come find the raffles to be into win some amazing prizes

@Cat_knits Our very intensely detailed health and safety plan has a high wind management plan among other sections we could consider. We haven’t had to cancel one yet since 1977 apart from for Covid.

@ThorndonFair How bad does the weather need to get for a cancellation to happen?

On Sunday the forecast is currently for 100% good shopping, food and entertainment. There’s also a current forecast for up to 90% of a little bit of rain. We don’t have a postponement day for the fair, because of the logistics and approvals needed for road closures.

Along with lots of shopping, we also have a great entertainment zone in Premier House. Here is the line up of performers for Sunday.

It’s all go for this Sunday. We are so looking forward to bringing you another wonderful fair. Remember to check our website to see the long list of stall holders.

Waste Management makes up a significant amount of the costs we pay for the fair. We would like to acknowledge a funding grant from @WgtnCC towards our waste management costs. At the fair we are committed to minimising the waste and the environmental footprint from the event.

@ThorndonFair Are there maps of the parking restrictions for residents available? The website has the road closures but no detail on parking. Trying to work out if Upton Terrace is an option.

12 days to go until the fair. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

To be able to run the fair down the gorgeous Tinakori Road, we need to close some roads. Here’s the road closure information and map for 3 December. We acknowledge that road closures can be frustrating for some people, so wanting to thank you for your patience in advance.

With over 250 stalls at the fair there is something for everyone. We recommend that people consider bringing cash along to the fair just in case. The nearest cash out facilities are at least ten minutes walk from the fair.

Thanks to the support of our generous friends over at Micro Scooters Australia & NZ - we will be raffling off this incredible Neochrome Sprite Scooter. Look out for the raffle area at the fair. We run the fair as a fundraising event for the Thorndon School.
