@iamdinodeleon I’m all for institutional independence but the Senate has it coming. The only reason it hasn’t become a target practice for the police and the military is because of civilian supremacy—the people they are betraying just to protect one family.

This is a result of the Senate as an institution being used to a) obstruct justice in the case of Bato Dela Rosa, and b) evade accountability in the case of Sara Duterte. Wala silang pakialam sa Saligang Batas basta makatakas lamang sila. Mga kawatan!

He alleges that some senators got “tips” to leave the chamber because something untoward would happen.
