It’s been a hard day. One thing after another. It all began to hit me as I was filling up at the gas station. The wind was blowing as I watched the numbers go up. A man came up to me and said he had run out of gas. He asked if I could help, so I gave him the $20 I had in the car. As he walked away, I watched the numbers continue to climb: 45, 46, 47. For a moment, I was filled with panic. What will I do when my reserve is gone? I told myself it’s going to be OK as long as I stay in motion . To prove it was going to be OK, after I finished pumping the gas, I began to walk into the store to buy a protein drink but stopped. You would have to know a lot of my history to understand this. I went back to the car, took my sweater off, and walked into the store proud. For me, it was some type of empowering moment. I’m deciding to be brave and have faith.
