I'm something of an optimist, so I never actually believed I'd live in a distopian future, and yet here we are. Not, thankfully, the post-apocalyptic hellscape kind of dystopia so much as the utterly unrecognizable funhouse mirror dystopia.

RUBY Marchantia produces the red pigment found in beets. They are so cute that I cannot stop showing them to everybody in our building 😄

newest collaboration with Zhao Lab, led by Xiaomeng Shen, uncovers how KRN5b regulates maize kernel row number through phosphoinositol signaling! I feel so satisfied that our whole-mount immunolocalization protocol worked like a champ with the “oldie-but-goodie ” PIN1 antibody.
