Thank you, seriously. It may not have seemed like much of a post to you brother, but it really made me feel un-alone out here. I would love to work with nothing but Vets. I understand us. Rare non-joke post: I was military for 22 years, worked a few jobs for a short time since (never a good fit), and been living the retired life for the last year or so. I’m going to meet a guy this morning at his shop about working with him at his one man custom cabinet shop. Seems right up my alley, like I might actually really enjoy that type of thing. Not asking for prayers or good luck wishes or anything… just sharing.

I agree. I know people who pulled muscles or broke toes, who have no combat experience, that get a higher VA rating than people who received actual injuries, in actual combat. The process is broken. I know a girl who retired after 19 months in the Army, gets 100% disability for asthma that she failed to mention to the MEPS guys when she came in…

Military Disability fraud is rampant. You can claim erectile dysfunction and get a check, as it’s a recognized disability. I’m sorry, but unless you served in combat, you shouldn’t get disability.
