@RiOTTT_NS Build quality has been flawless, but a lot of people are having software issues with the new Lycan. My mouse will stop tracking if I use the “low” liftoff distance. They released a firmware update to address this, but my unit is still having problems.

Has anyone had issues with build quality from G-Wolves in the last year? I keep seeing people say they won’t buy a G-Wolves mouse due to build quality issues and I have yet to have a problem. New line has had the best click implementation I’ve tested across the board.

@iskCSGO It’s all about tolerances. Logitech has one tolerance for the size of the cutout, and the skate manufacturer has another tolerance for the size of the skate. Some gaps will be larger than others because of this. High side on cutout and low side on skates will be the largest gap.

@iskCSGO As long as nothing is outside of the skate cutout you’ll be fine. It’s only a problem if part of the skate is raised up higher if it spills out of the cutout.

@g_wolves @anders_4k @review_wolves Sorry for the late reply, I was out of town for the weekend. I tried the Lycan and wired mode and had the same issue, unfortunately.

Apologies for the delay on this one, but just released my review of the Lycan from @g_wolves ! Insanely impressed by it, and curious to see what more they can do in the future. Link in replies

@AverageO96 @jakeufps It was supposed to be LGG’s first mouse, but they got screwed over by the factory with some QC issues and the design was stolen and released first by Darmoshark, so the launch was super rocky. They ended up having to sell the units at an extreme loss.

@anders_4k @review_wolves @g_wolves Any issues with yours? I’m having LOD problems. Anything except for “High” leads to a loss of tracking when I put the mouse back down after swiping. Looks like my sensor might be off -kilter 🫤

@DrexCS2 @ModsMouse Check out the Pulsar/Vaxee PD-170 if you haven’t already. That pad addresses all of the issues you have with the PMM pad.

My @ModsMouse S2P Quantum just came and its completely useless junk tbh. The edgeless pad has edges and you can feel the PMM logo and cut out thats on the bottom of the pad while using it… Im honestly done with this hobby since everyone just releases low quality slop now.

@PhalangesCo It’s soft launching right now. Small updates from the V3. Allegedly same clicks and dongle as the Deathadder V4, and it’s 49g now. Same shape as the V3. There are some posts on reddit.

@leoclacks @lethaldotgg @PulsarGears @PLSRESPORTS I forgot who posted it, but someone said the new PMM bases are not as sticky as the PD-170, so that fact alone makes the Pulsar pad better in my eyes. You need a spatula to scrape this thing off of your desk.

Just wanted to let y’all know: this is peak cloth right now. Maybe the new PMM pad could beat the feel (haven’t tried it), but honestly nothing I can think of even comes close. I thought cloth was dead - I got proven wrong. Insane job @PulsarGears @PLSRESPORTS And ty @wearemaxgaming for the insanely fast shipping 🤙

@ModsMouse How does this base compare to the new Pulsar PD170? Same material? Or just similar? Are they 5mm thick?

After many months, my mouse skate samples (durable, based on new material) are nearly ready. Also, 60 finalized samples of the Ninja 2.0 (durable speedy cloth mousepad) are being made. Essentially, these two are "final prototypes for testing purposes". Who's up for it?

@tekkusai Still on the 13 pro. Still fast, still has great battery life, still has a 120Hz screen, so I haven’t seen any reason to upgrade. It’s kinda nice not having a payment lol

Introducing 'Bionic Guard' for Ninja 2.0 • 15% lower friction • 6.7x more durable • 0% slowdown after 2,000 abrasion cycles (vs +14% without) • Up to 12% faster in high humidity • More consistent, less “stick” This is a MASSIVE win. Full doc drops before launch.

We just found a serious breakthrough for Ninja 2.0. Early lab data shows up to 7x the durability of the fabric reviewers already have. Next up is humidity, glide, and sensor stress tests. If the numbers tomorrow back it up, I’m ready to delay 4 weeks to ship the upgraded version.

@tekkusai A lot of the issues they complain about as consumers have been cost-out decisions made by the company, not issues with the factory itself. If you are willing to put money into the product you are creating and will only accept the highest quality, the sky’s the limit. (2/2)

@tekkusai I’ve been a design engineer for 8 years and just recently moved into a role with sourced products. Some people who aren’t familiar with the space would be floored at how good these “Cheap Chinese” factories actually are at manufacturing, engineering and design. (1/2)

Most peripherals roll out of the same handful of factories. Only two or three plants handle nearly every glass or cloth mousepad, plus a good chunk of keyboards and mice. Two solution providers supply almost all mouse firmware. So the assembly site alone tells you almost nothing about a product. That is just the final step. What matters is the materials and the work that happens first. Choosing the right glass, sourcing the right fabric, and perfecting a custom mouse shape that actually took thought and effort. You could walk through Wooting’s factory today, but without their software and firmware you leave with nothing useful. That’s why my philosophy going forward is to put my time and money into sourcing and R&D. The goal is custom, well-considered products that speak for themselves.
