Fortunate to retire early to enjoy e-bike rides, the fells, playing golf (badly), red wine, good food, good company and supporting the mighty Clarets.

“The Wrong Guy?” Twenty years ago, Guy Goma was waiting for a BBC transport job interview when, in a rush of newsroom confusion, producer @ElliottGotkine mistakenly put him live on air as an expert guest. What followed was unmissable telly. Guy tried to style it out, answering questions on a court case. It became one of the great early internet memes and was covered and watched around the world. Yet at the time, it was a huge hit to Elliott’s career. Now Elliott has written a book about it and, as someone who has known him for a long time, I’m delighted to see him own it. At tonight’s launch, Guy Goma said: “We are all human. Mistakes happen.” Quite right. The key is to learn from them. Well done to them both.

Sorry not sorry... 😂 When I worked at a golf club, I saw all sorts of golfers turn up - The tour pro - The club champ - The recreational golfer who plays twice a week - And the worst... the cooperate day golfer Here's how each golfer picks up a bag... Which one are you? 😉😜

Mary Trump: “Donald has never built anything in his life. He is a poster child for how much easier it is to destroy than to create. Every single thing, every monstrosity that he has ordered to be built in his honor is going to need to be torn down and the Trump name is going to need to be removed from everything”

Scott Parker and Burnley had to part ways. Slightly strange timing now with four games remaining – poor financial accounts just out? Been drifting since November, arguably could have gone then. Fans had turned on Parker, although still grateful for last season’s promotion and the 100-point season. Needed better football and more of a connection with fans. Burnley’s plight it’s not just down to Parker. James Trafford exit damaging, players not good enough, squad needs clear-out, then investment, smarter singings. Parker will doubtless pick up a decent job in the Championship – and do well. He’s just the type of manager that Burnley would have gone for having been relegated. 10 Premier League managers have left their jobs this season (+ five inc caretakers). 12 when Iraola and Glasner move, possibly 13 depending on Carrick. Managerial merry/miserygoround. #twitterclarets

@henrywinter Typical of football, who would have a better chance of lifting them back to the Premier League than someone who’s done it before? Supporter/club expectations often awry with reality.

@henrywinter @Kershaw444 The timing might be strange but is also seriously unhelpful for their opponents tomorrow (Leeds) who need to get something from the game. All seems very short notice. Who stands to gain?

I know there is a lot of news around but can someone at the Beeb explain to me how a man they keep telling us might be the next PM getting an undisclosed donation of FIVE MILLION POUNDS from a Thai based crypto dealer (with a BS explanation about it being for lifelong security) is not even a news story when the man he wants to replace led the news for days over some glasses and Arsenal tickets?

Right, had a few Madri's in the garden, so here goes. ALK don't need to 'pack up and leave', but they need a massive restructure... They need to stop packing the board, and staff at the club, with ALK's mates and family - but instead bring in football people who know what they're on about - at all levels not just board level. Some local members of staff who know what the club means, and know how to spell, would also be a good move. Probably not controversial, but get people involved at the club who GET the club, because there's too many people here currently who don't. Fin.

When the first people are fired as a business collapses under these taxes will Paul be calculating that the one off tax take is worth more than years of corporation tax, income tax, national insurance and VAT? IHT on businesses remains a stupid idea.

🚨ATTENTION: The Artemis II astronauts will go through the most tense moment of the mission on April 6, 2026. This is the highlight of the entire mission. The Orion will pass between 6,400 and 9,600 kilometers above the lunar surface. But there's a detail that makes this moment even more intense: as it passes over the far side of the Moon, the spacecraft will lose communication with Earth for about 30 to 50 minutes, blocked by the Moon itself. "For the 45 minutes when we'll be closest to the lunar surface, we'll also be out of contact," said Victor Glover, the mission's pilot. "I'd love for the whole world to be cheering and praying for us to reestablish the signal." During that time, the astronauts will photograph and observe regions of the Moon's far side that have never been seen by human eyes. The crew will also attempt to capture new images of the so-called Earthrise, the planet emerging over the desolate lunar surface.
