@politixintheuk She’s a Labour shill, who is in part responsible for the country being lumbered with this awful government. Her “encouragement” is irrelevant.
English

Carol Vorderman says she "loathes" Reform and is encouraging everyone - especially women - to vote in the local elections!
She said: “I absolutely loathe Reform. I loathe them to the very cell of my being. All they want is division. And they lie. The scale of the hypocrisy is insurmountable. They say, ‘We are the party of the working people’, but I couldn't think of any party, even the Conservatives, that are worse than them.” And of Farage, she added: "He's just so thin-skinned. But people are beginning to see him for who he is."

@emilyhewertson That’s what they effectively do already. See King’s Lynn hospital (RAAC affected) where the rebuild was frozen after years of planning and work started. Or all the local farmland being made unusable with solar panels. Or farm IHT, fuel duty that affects rural communities more.
English

I vehemently dislike Reform’s new policy on locating detainment centres in non-Reform voting constituencies.
1) in most Green-voting constituencies there will be thousands of people living there who did NOT vote Green. Why should they be punished?
2) Increasing someone’s likelihood of being a victim of crime simply because they didn’t vote for you is dictator-y. Collective punishment is for socialists.
We need a solution but this is NOT it. I hope they rethink.

@emilyhewertson Unbelievable.
This incident alone should make that individual ineligible to hold office.
English

@RicardoDaLepp @Kershaw444 I think it’s 3 mill per place
English

@jonsmith_lufc @Kershaw444 I’m out of date! Thanks for clarifying that. So, even more of an incentive for us…..
English

@johndel24512998 @jimmy_L_UFC What makes a manager “good” nowadays? Farke is a very good fit for the club, and this attribute is looking increasingly like the main determinant of success or failure. Even a master tactician isn’t going to work out if he (or she) just doesn’t fit well in a specific club.
English

@jimmy_L_UFC He's done a good job. But much better managers out there. Frank and Howe if he comes available. Things like leaving Tanaka on the bench and freezing out Gnonto and Piroe. Playing Meslier for 2 yrs when Darlow was clearly a much better keeper. I don't fancy gambling on him again
English

@jimmy_L_UFC He’s a very good fit for the club, bringing a calm and measured approach to proceedings, which can be intense with Leeds. He’s handled that pressure very well. Like many of the players, he has developed and improved too. A real asset for us.
English

@markcollins0865 Lovely to see him supporting Cambridge, but that photo makes me feel quite old! I suppose I am now….
Good on him!
English

@GrapevineRay @DHurleybooks @eaststand1980 Possibly. It was open to misinterpretation and some people have taken umbrage. I think it was meant to be positive though ie Leeds keep getting good results, when his West Ham side could really do with us not getting results at this stage.
English

@RicardoDaLepp @DHurleybooks @eaststand1980 I think hes saying how are we only 16th after recent form
English

@KDGAMING1996 @CambridgeUtdFC You’ll be doing the same if you avoid finishing 3rd from bottom.
English

@stephenpage22 Somewhat stressful in the end but a deserved return straight back to League 1 for Cambridge. Neil Harris and Mark Bonner have got the Us heading in the right direction with consistency. Next season’s League 1 Cambridge side will be stronger than the one which came down.
English

U's fans - please share your thoughts on Cambridge United's promotion from League Two for inclusion in the Cambridge News #camUTD
English

@HLTCO It’s an unwanted distraction and breaks the immersion in the event. I felt sorry for the woman doing the interviewing that she’d been given such a pointless task, for which she will no doubt cop some flak from the “less tolerant” viewers.
English

@TSSLUFC 1) Archie back.
2) Left sided defence cover.
3) Striker / Centre forward. We create a lot of good chances but cannot convert enough of them. We’ve also been lucky with DCL and Okafor with injuries this season.
The keepers have improved and I wouldn’t mind keeping both of them.
English

Ignoring outgoings completely and working on the basis we keep everyone we want to, where do we need to straighten next season to push on from here? #LUFC

@DHurleybooks I can see how it was misinterpreted and the intended irony instead came across as sarcasm. Thank you for taking the time to explain it.
I imagine Spurs fans feel the same way about the teams above them too, but especially West Ham.
English

Just to clarify, as for some reason a lot of people have decided this is me abusing Leeds.
It’s the opposite,they’ve done brilliantly and I’m using irony to praise them.
We had a close family friend who passed away a few years back who was Leeds, and Ive always not minded them.
Daniel Hurley - West Ham books@DHurleybooks
Oooh I’m Leeds and I never lose a game ever and have basically gone invincible but are still 16th for no reason anybody can work out. Grow up Leeds will you. Just grow up.
