I'm assuming by original intention you mean DCAS ? I can't really speak on the vision there as most of that team is no longer affiliated with ONC. However from the get go in TJ2 we were told that Huntally would break up. This is just my guess but I'd imagine not only is it testing the waters for a couple breaking up in DC, but also showcasing how not everyone stays together in the long haul. Which honestly is pretty realistic. We can't assume every couple in DC is staying together forever now can we ? Hunter and Ally had enough cracks I believe to safely tackle this topic but I know not everyone agreed with the decision and I respect those opinions.
