WTAF have I just watched? Those first two episodes of #DoctorWho were so shockingly bad. I’m reeling. If they were trying to kill off the franchise, they’ve definitely succeeded.

@remysmom7 @AnneLouiseAvery When working on the ward, I always tried to sit with patients who were most poorly, spouting nonsense to them, just so they knew they weren’t alone; that someone was there, holding their hand through the night. Sadly, thanks to PFI, there was no canteen open to seek solace in.

@AnneLouiseAvery My brother, a health care worker, told me there are patients w/no family who end up dying alone and it’s the saddest thing.💔The Doctor has a beautiful caring heart and understands. He lovingly supported the elderly badger in spite of any personal toll it took: “You are loved.”❤️

The Doctor was in a room at the Royal Victoria, holding the paw of an elderly badger, with no family, who was breathing with increasing rasps. You are loved, he repeated to him over & over again, you are loved. After, he went to the canteen, to sit amongst life. It really never became easier.
