Friends, I REALLY need you to read this.
Today I spent an hour with a solicitor regarding an individual here who has subjected me to a persistent and distressing campaign of harassment. Some of you will have seen his posts or seen me speak out about it twice before.
As many of you know, I started this account to educate my son, who has autism, when a suitable school could not be found. What began as a way to share the wonders we explored together has grown to over 4 million followers for which I am deeply grateful
I now post from many small accounts I follow and maintain good relationships with.
However, this individual, a large account who knows exactly who he is, posts about me DAILY making false claims that I copy him while conveniently leaving out the many times he posts immediately after me. His fixation has now accelerated to a point where my mental heath is affected as sometimes he has posted about me multiple times a day. He must either stop himself or face legal intervention.
I am sorry to have to share this , but I have blocked this account for years and yet this behaviour continues and has seriously affected my mental health and wellbeing and impacted my personal life. He has also shown a pattern of similar behaviour toward another account who has spoken out before, and I’m deeply disturbed to find myself the target of it now.
I am not responsible for the state of his account, his algorithm, his visibility, or his engagement.
This serves as my final post on the matter. I have asked him to stop twice before, and the fact that he has not shows the persistent and deliberate nature of what he does
All evidence has been handed to my solicitor, and if this continues, I will pursue every legal avenue available to protect myself and my family. No one should have to contend with this much hostility and accusations I have enough to deal with as a mother of special needs child I come to X as a sources of peace and he has taken that away from me

@freedomflyerUSA @TheTennisLetter She doesn’t “need” to do anything. She WANTED to play and play she did. Did you listen to what she said?

@TheTennisLetter I feel a bit sad that she feels the need to do this at 45.

AI and Medical Speciality availability
Facebook has a group of 89,000 physicians who present difficult cases to each other for input.
A case was presented of a woman with 2 years of an ulcerative rash not improving on treatment for a presumed rheumatologic condition.
I uploaded the case to o3-pro with the two photos provided.
o3-pro hit it out of the park in what was a very complicated case with a wide differential requiring the input of dermatology, rheumatology, and infectious disease.
Two hospitalists commented that they work at community hospitals with no dermatology and rheumatology consultation availability.
They both asked how I got such a result.
The results - if they had had such a case at their own community hospital - would have allowed them to provide top tier care for a complex case requiring multi-specialty input.
The earth shifted today.

@Gabe__MD @hraza222 Beautifully said Dr G. My wife, your sister, was fortunate enough to have a caring doc in you as you guided her to the very understanding that you write about when her 1st husband faced his sudden and last health challenge. I wish every patient could have a caring Doc like you!

There is a whole expertise to this. A simple post can’t do this subject justice.
Suffice it to say the following:
Each family needs its own time to come to terms with the reality of their loved one whose time on this earth is coming to an end.
This brings up almost a limitless stream of emotions related to the intricacies of their relationships and family interrelationships and dynamics. Guilt and anger can turn into “we have to do everything to keep them alive.”
They need the gentle guidance of a sensitive, caring physician who can translate the entirety of the situation patiently. And then do it again. And do it again. And then talk to more family members And do it again. Not an exaggeration.
I’ve newly diagnosed patients in the ED with metastatic cancer and sepsis. The cachectic patient clearly was sick for some time. The family knew they were sick.
Some families can be transitioned over the course of hours to letting go. Others take 24 hours or a day. Others understandably want time for distant family members to be able to gather.
One has to respect how complex a process this is. And how we have been given the great responsibility to be the guide.

@Chuckee202 @Skylarjderouen @BillAckman @Harvard @TheAtlantic As a Black man I resent your accusations of racism. What Harvard needed was a strong Black women leader, not a woman without a moral compass. And then, of course, her scholarship issues. A plagiarist as President of Harvard?
English

@Skylarjderouen @BillAckman @Harvard @TheAtlantic Exactly!!! He can’t stand a strong 💪🏿 black Woman being in charge .. It bothers his racist spirit

.@Harvard has a Veritas Problem. An excellent assessment of the Harvard situation in the @TheAtlantic.

@PlatinumRic @GroupEldorado @BillAckman @Harvard Sorry but the only corrective action in this case would be to fire the president and the entire board. Anything else is irresponsible, as @BillAckman has pointed out.
English

@GroupEldorado @BillAckman @Harvard Joshua … while very true from a corporate perspective where there are many choices, it’s an abdication of legacy, responsibility, and huge ongoing opportunity to not seek to facilitate corrective action in a case like this.

I find it difficult to believe that the @Harvard Corporation board could still be in unanimous support of President Gay.
They must now realize that they made a bad choice and that their continued support for President Gay is not just enormously damaging to Harvard, but it is also incredibly destructive to their own reputations.
When I first watched the train wreck begin to unfold at Harvard, I approached two friends on the Corporation board and requested a meeting with President Gay and the other directors as I thought I could help.
My requests for a meeting were ignored. Weeks went by. I continued to push. Finally, I was offered the opportunity to speak with Penny Pritzker, the board chair. I was told: “This is the protocol.”
The conversation with Penny was incredibly disappointing. It was clear that the board members had become deer in the headlights, were listening to bad ‘professional’ advice, and were unreceptive to input from outside the board room.
So I wrote my first public letter to the board, and received no response. Not even an acknowledgment from President Gay or the board that they had received the letter.
The situation got worse, and I was compelled to write a second letter.
I got no response.
The day after President Gay’s disastrous testimony I reached out again to my two friends on the board. One promised to call back and then ghosted me. The other did not respond to my texts, so I wrote a third letter.
Now, I am not the only person to have written strong letters to the Harvard board. They must have received literally hundreds of letters, emails, and calls.
I know because I have been copied and blind copied on many of these communications from some people I know and many people I do not.
We are well past the point where Claudine Gay is the only one to blame for the mess that is Harvard.
Ultimately, when management fails, the board needs to step in. It has failed to do so and nearly three months have passed.
As a result, the reputations of the eleven individuals who comprise the board are in the process of being destroyed. It is sad to watch this happen as there are some very high quality people on this board.
Why, you might ask, are they self destructing?
The principal reason I believe is that they are afraid of being called racists. They have concluded that if they fired President Gay, Harvard’s first black president, they would be cancelled and deemed racists.
They have failed to act out of fear.
They would also have to admit that they made a bad choice in selecting Gay, and acknowledge that they ignored concerns raised about Gay’s scholarship and leadership prior to appointing her.
Sometimes successful people have a hard time admitting mistakes, particularly when doing so will make the news.
So they have stuck their heads in the sand and they have made matters much worse.
Not only are they damaging Harvard’s and their own reputations, they are now materially damaging the black community.
By not acting to fire Gay for transgressions for which no other previous president of Harvard, administrator or faculty member would survive, they are telling the world that lower standards apply to black people at Harvard.
This is incredibly damaging to the many highly talented black faculty at Harvard.
Sadly, some will now question the legitimacy of faculty of color at Harvard because apparently lower academic and leadership standards are being applied to President Gay because of her intersectionality status.
In effect, the board’s failure to fire Gay delegitimizes other faculty of color at Harvard. This is very very wrong, and the Board needs to act now before more damage is done.
Someone on the Board must understand all of the above, but has yet to break ranks.
A word of advice: if you find yourself on a board which has lost its way and won’t reverse a disastrous decision for ego, personal fear, or other reasons, the best time to get off the board is now.
