I wrote this story at Hotel Zachary, the boutique hotel across the street from Wrigley. The lobby restaurant doesn't serve lunch (?), so we got food from the deli downstairs and I ate a $20 (!) turkey sandwich that, frankly, was kind of bad. At least the coffee was free.

@sahadevsharma They have one advantage over the Brewers every season, and they refuse to use it - payroll. That’s the story of this entire season. Obvious holes in the lineup and with the starting pitching while they dumped the Bellinger salary.

I didn't think Carter's 2032 comment was that big of a deal. Unless you think Cubs should trade LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE PROSPECT for one (1) partial 2025 upgrade, then you agree with him: the future does also matter. The only debate is degree.
