@T__1042 @NickStillHere But also that is besides the point, anything you build within the marriage will belong to both of you, that’s just how that works generally so again you’re in a vulnerable position comparatively and that’s why the clause is reasonable on one end and not the other.

@Tiger_better @NickStillHere Or you can use the marriage to build yourself up instead of relying solely on the other person being rich and using the mindset that if the marriage doesn't work, I'm set regardless.

@T__1042 @NickStillHere Well that depends because people get pregnant and have to raise children. Some people don’t want their wives to work during those times z Those are years you are giving up in your career that makes a huge difference in terms of lifetime earnings.

@T__1042 @NickStillHere No, but only one person would be in a truly vulnerable position is the point. The rich person can stand to lose some shit and be fine. Whereas the person marrying them will probably have nothing when they leave. You should want to ensure that the person you love is set.

@Tiger_better @NickStillHere Yes, because the other person choosing to look out for their future by not wanting a prenup is very reasonable as well. It goes both ways.

@T__1042 @NickStillHere Not really, them looking out for their future selves in the case that you’ll leave them high and dry is reasonable no matter how much somebody loves you. What’s not reasonable is to expect someone you love to be okay with feeling unsafe in case you wrong them.

@Tiger_better @NickStillHere I mean, that same logic would also be used against the other person that if they truly love you, then they wouldn't try/need to add certain clauses in order to marry you.

@chrisrohirrim @Lindoshenge1 @Rickwest_ That was literally a part of her early branding. If she wasn’t as beautiful as she was/is, she really wouldn’t be as successful. She isn’t a huge vocalist or dancer, her success is based on branding and people wanting to be with/like her.

@Lindoshenge1 @Rickwest_ She still reminds me of early Rihanna the most. Even down to beauty like pop stars tend to be better looking but Tyla and Rihanna are so gorgeous that like it’s a part of their brand. For the US audience, she very much gives Rihanna down to the accent.

@Rickwest_ Thought the daughter concept came from inspiration and an artist being your idol, not that you give the same energy and artistry as them. Tyla does not give Rihanna, Nor do chloe x halle give Beyoncé. Performance wise maybe but not musically or artistcally

You new gays are built different. I go to the club to get drunk and dance. Not to eat. I saw this boy at the club eating a 20 piece at the bar last night. Y’all don’t be going home to hunch after the club? 🤔 Times have really changed.

@OTMGUARD @theashrb All of that could be true and there can still be a problem with our cultural norms. Like if your parents can’t fund an apartment for you then staying home is a wise financial decision.

@Tiger_better @theashrb hell to the nah our ppl built this entire economy. our culture entertains this entire world. til this day we are being finessed out of what’s due. that’s why stats aren’t in our favor and hella stats are rooted in straight racism. staying home at 29 years old ISNT the answer.

@jewstein3000 It’s because bipolar is one of those disorders that is stigmatized in a way that is somewhat shameful whereas autism is more so pitied and seen as needing of care.

was misdiagnosed as bipolar in my 20s, and you don’t seem me writing an article about how bipolar is fake diagnosis for lots of women. (I had PMS.)
Christina Buttons@buttonslives

I thought I was autistic. I was wrong. I was 30 in 2019 when stories of women discovering they were autistic all along began appearing everywhere. They popularized a newer understanding of autism, with its own “female presentation.” It was framed as a scientific correction to a historical wrong against women, the kind of narrative the press finds irresistible. Like so many women, I felt immense relief when I was formally diagnosed. It offered an explanation for the mental health crises of my youth and the daily realities of my adult life. Then I spent a year in the online autism community. What I saw there, especially the way activists treated parents of severely impaired children, turned me into a critic of neurodiversity. But it was becoming a journalist in 2022, after discovering detransitioners’ stories, that forced me to question narratives about identity and diagnosis, including my own. Journalism also required the social skills autism says I should have lacked. From there, the rest unraveled: many traits I had come to associate with autism are not uncommon in the general population, but through the “female autism” framework, they looked like a meaningful pattern. I don’t think my story is unique. The same incentives that kept my diagnosis intact may also help explain why so many women are entering the autism category in adulthood. @NYPDPC @NYPDnews This just confirms to me and it should you too, that when you place Blacks as violent, your not talking about the descendants of slaves, do we get into trouble yes but majority in NY are not descendants of slaves but immigrants and their 1 gen offspring wrecking havoc.

A third-generation immigrant is the grandchild of people who immigrated to a country (1st gen = the immigrants; 2nd gen = their children born there; 3rd gen = the grandchildren born there). The first Africans arrived in British North America (Virginia) in 1619 aboard the White Lion. They and their descendants are the historical core of Black Americans as an ethnic group—primarily those whose ancestors were enslaved in the U.S.—per standard historical records and definitions like the one in the Wikipedia screenshot from the thread.
