Willy Adames has some bat speed. Probably in the GCL this year, but keep an eye out. He's tooled up.

Great article to remember an historic team twitter.com/r_j_anderson/s…

@BreslinBirds It’s the draft pool & international pool money that matters, not the picks.
English

@TigsTown @RichThomeQuan would rather have them invest the money into development of current guys and non-McDonalds/concession stand food but alas. If they can get a major league contributor at the deadline, then it was a worthwhile gamble.
English

@RichThomeQuan @TigersProspects Pretty much. Which I don't have a problem with, except in the event it means harming the development of our young core. So if Norris spends 3 months wasting away in the bullpen... I'll be less pleased
English

@TigsTown Yeah, I get no.1. Would rather trot out Norris & any other 40-man prospect but this technically doesn’t prevent them from doing so at a later point, I guess.
English

@TigersProspects Two reasons... 1) if they pitch well you flip them at the deadline for prospects... 2) you need to trot someone out there, and it's not like either will be 5 WAR players that would alter the Tigers outlook. So get someone that might keep them competitive some nights
English

@BYBRob Thanks, Rob. Guess if Bosio can work some magic, it’d end up making sense. Would rather have them spend 10MM on player health & development but I guess ya gotta start somewhere
English

@TigersProspects They needed one of them, and could certainly use both. Using Fiers ahead of Norris isn’t ideal but it’s a long season, someone will get hurt at some point.
English

Given injury rates with pitchers as a whole, I’m of the mindset that I’d rather have them learn at the major league level if they’re close to ready. In this case, it’s a low pressure environment and odds are that service time doesn’t end up mattering for them in the long run. twitter.com/sabrcats/statu…

@TigersProspects Maybe to give young guys more time developing? What’s your take on a young guy, in this case a pitcher, playing too soon in the Show?
English

@TigersProspects Hope they pitch well and then flip them at the deadline
English

@electricsnuff Zimmerman, I understand trying to recoup your investment. Liriano & Fiers starting over anyone makes no sense. Would rather have young guys get lit up, learn, and iterate. Once the contention window opens (it won’t with this front office, but in theory) then those guys are ready.
English

@Jffrob He revitalized baseball in Detroit and is, in my opinion anyway, the best Tigers hurler of all time. Nothing but respect from me.
