I'm curious what fraction of the week PIs spend on grant writing. For the last 7 months (Sept. 1 '23 until today), I tracked this, and I found that I spent on average 25-30 hours a week writing grants (this does not count dealing with active grants or doing any science), in a 76-hour working week (12-hour days M-F, 8 hours/day on weekends). Everyone here is on soft money so this may differ elsewhere?

Eva-Maria Reuter, one of the most fearless people I know, and one of my closest friends, graciously invited me to write this review on using EEG to study sensorimotor adaptation with her. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Excited to share our new preprint w @IPALab @smickdougle! Here, we show that the generalization of learned motor behaviors is influenced by both low-level kinematic features and high-level inferences about different movement contexts. Thread below👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

I think my portrayal of a neuroscientist is nearing completion. Yesterday I was told that my research needs to consider mechanics, and it is biomechanics not neural control that explains my findings. This biomechanics field sounds important...

@adrianhaith What are you using to display the recorded position and do you know where the delays occur?
