@AdamKerrBell I guess there are a couple of fires they're fighting here. If Eden Park is mothballed then they won't have anywhere decent to play international cricket, of any kind, in Auckland.

It doesn't solve the lack of a test venue in Auckland.
Even if Eden Park is redeveloped to cater for better cricket field dimensions, it still doesn't make sense to hold tests in a 50,000 plus seat stadium.

If financially feasible, New Zealand would be a great place to host a T20 WC.
The 50 over WC in 2015 was a great success.

Tbh 2028 T20 World Cup should be held in New Zealand only. They have plenty of stadiums over there so hosting a complete tournament shouldn't be a proper. Very unfair as Australia already hosted a complete tournament 2 year's ago and will again host it 6 year's later

Our T20 has been declining for a while. We produce no real stars out of a pretty poor local comp. So it kind of just gets tacked on to the test/ODI side. NZ players barely used in IPL,says a bit. Would like to see a new Capt/coach for T20 - like Flem. GP for capt - something diff

I thought the Warriors forward pack played well. But the outside backs is a real headache for Webster.

@kiwisean1 That crisp structured play they had last year has vanished and I think it’s largely to do with the fact a number of players have lost confidence. They’re trying to force wins now, rather than earn them.

@TimEvansSKY RTS to wing - Ali Leiataua centre. Also need to throw more variations, offloads, 5th tackle variations - can’t just kick to the opposition left hand winger all day.
