As a voter in this Kentucky district, let me stand up for my people. These people voted for Donald Trump. They also voted for Massie on the expectation that he would help Trump enact his agenda. He stopped doing thay, so they elected someone who will. It's pretty simple.

Now the special envoy has flown back to the United States, where he will report back to his boss, U.S. President Donald Trump. And to that, Landry says: ‘I will report back to him that ever since he began talking about Greenland back in 2016, he has actually put Greenland on the map. And what he essentially did was recognize that the United States, prior to President Trump, had neglected Greenland.’ Q: Some of the people we have spoken to feel somewhat offended by the tone coming from the United States. Do you think there is something in the rhetoric from the U.S. that people here simply do not understand, or what is it really about?” “Well, listen, I have never paid much attention to what people say about me. People make memes and jokes and say harsh things. I will always say that people should judge me by my actions, not my words,” Landry replies before turning to Trump. “Donald Trump is definitely a man of action. And he always wants to create opportunities for people. He wakes up every day working to make life better for Americans. And I believe that is the same kind of prosperity he wants to bring to Greenland as well. And it begins with security.” The journalist tells Jeff Landry that some of the people DR has spoken to still believe that President Trump wants to take over Greenland. ‘And I have to ask you: Is that still the mission?’ ‘The mission is to bring this country under the Monroe Doctrine in a way that is beneficial to Greenland. When I spoke with Greenlanders, every question was about this: Do you want the United States to be here? Not everyone says no — some want a closer relationship.’ ‘And they are not only saying it with words, they are also showing it physically in a very clear way. So again, I would say those are the people Donald Trump cares about. And I certainly do as well,’ Jeff Landry explains. (The interview took place yesterday.) —DR

@TimHermansson I do thank you for the compliment, however. I make no excuses for my countrymen as a whole though. Geopolitics and having a good memory about these things...it's not our strong suit, and that's putting it as kindly as possible.

@TimHermansson No, actually that would be your European propaganda which is making you believe that any American against supporting Ukraine or wanting a healthy relationship with Russia, by default, must be MAGA. I don't like the guy at all, to be honest with you. Didn't vote for him.

JD Vance saying nobody has done more for Ukraine than Trump is absolute bollocks. Trump froze military aid before he was even in office, his camp has pushed to cut support ever since, humanitarian aid was pulled costing thousands of jobs and shutting projects down, and sanctions pressure on Russian oil has now been eased multiple times, allowing Putin to rake in billions for the war effort. He has also repeatedly regurgitated Kremlin talking points almost verbatim, while members of his orbit were reportedly engaging with Zelensky’s political opposition.

Thanks @JDVance. The media is so dishonest… President Trump’s investment holdings are maintained exclusively in fully discretionary accounts managed by independent third-party financial institutions. These institutions have sole and exclusive authority over all investment decisions, including asset allocation, trading, rebalancing, and portfolio management. Investments are executed and allocated through automated, model-based portfolios and direct indexing strategies administered entirely by those firms. Neither President Trump, his family, nor The Trump Organization has any role in selecting, directing, approving, influencing or soliciting specific investments. They receive no advance notice of trades, cannot alter or override the managers’ strategies or models, and provide no input regarding investment decisions or portfolio operations. This structure was intentionally designed to maintain a clear separation between President Trump and the independent third-party investment managers overseeing the accounts and avoid even the appearance of any conflict of interest.

Jeff Landry’s plan to make ‘many friends’ in Greenland hasn’t gone entirely to plan. European diplomats tell me Trump’s special envoy has been making ‘fool of himself’ during his visit to Nuuk. He has received a frosty reception since he arrived and has reinforced locals’ disdain for Trump’s quest for the island, they say. If Washington wants a bigger military footprint in Greenland, it has to convince locals that US bases would bring genuine security, jobs and investment.

Vance: "There's been no President who's done more to ensure that Ukraine survived invasion of Russia than Trump. As he said, 'Obama gave them sheets, I gave them Javelins,' and those Javelins ensured that Ukraine still has its territorial sovereignty." This is simply a lie. It was 360 Javelins. They mattered, they helped, but they are not the reason Ukraine survived or kept its sovereignty. Ukraine survived because millions of us have been fighting and sacrificing for more than four years, against all odds and expectations. Our defenders are the main reason Ukraine survives. Military and financial assistance from all countries, including the United States, does play a role, and we very much appreciate it. But Trump is not the president who provided it.

@TimHermansson It’s appalling, many of the older folks don’t sleep up there, the younger just not sure how to act when under persistent attacks. There’s absolutely zero pushback in US. Here, we’re angry as F. We need a Rukh Oporu-operation at their consulate some would say.

🇩🇪 Germany's AfD leader Alice Weidel just laid out her foreign policy in one sentence. Peace with Russia. Balanced ties with the U.S. Deep trade with China. Her core argument: Germany's economy was destroyed by sanctions on Russia. The energy crisis, Nord Stream, the loss of cheap Russian gas... all self-inflicted wounds from a foreign policy Germany didn't choose for itself. @Alice_Weidel
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇩🇪 The AfD just hit 29% in Germany's latest INSA poll, an all-time high. One party now equals the SPD, FDP, and Greens combined. Germany's political establishment didn't lose ground gradually. It collapsed it all at once. This is the same wave reshaping France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Austria. The difference is Germany's establishment has spent years calling it a crisis of extremism. Voters are calling it a crisis of governance.
