@MibshaD Considering how horrible the adoption and foster systems are, yeah I'd agree just on that basis. But don't forget that, most of the time, abortions exist for the safety and autonomy of the mother, so a hypothetical outcome of the eventual child is irrelevant to the ethics.

It would actually be immune to the food desert problem. The Government provided food was handed out at social service centers, community action agencies, and local nonprofit organizations who acted as distribution points. The food desert problem is from Grocery stores moving out of high-crime areas, but none of these centers were for-profit grocery stores.

Different salaries should only affect how luxurious your life is, not your food quality or ability to afford rent. If you work 40 hours at any job, your income should be enough to live in the town you work in. Thinking otherwise is an abysmal indicator of your humanity.

@OrevaZSN What would be your opinion on us going back to government run food programs that just provide the staples, like rice, beans, cheese, milk, flour, sugar, chicken, etc. to prevent people from spending government subsidies on processed foods ?

@Miazmaic @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal If people were regularly starving to death because groceries were too expensive and/or bankrupting people out of existence then yes I would fully expect owners and CEOs to start getting blasted, yes.

@TimMatthews95 @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal in the same vein; shops dont stop people starving to death in the pursuit of profit. you see how self defeating it is? you can make really good, valid criticisms of the system, but this CEO bad vritue signalling is dumb.

@Miazmaic @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal Ignoring my point entirely lmao. Also cheap for whom? Certainly not for the consumers of that healthcare. Considering even insurance doesn't stop people from going bankrupt in pursuit of healthcare.

@burneruvacc @Miazmaic @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal Well I personally don't believe in retribution as a concept, and I don't think it's morally correct either, but should anyone be surprised that a CEO responsible for the health of millions of people got blasted, especially considering the current state of healthcare? No.

@TimMatthews95 @Miazmaic @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal you are arguing that its morally correct to kill people for not providing you life saving care so by ur logic a starving homeless man is morally correct to kill a shop owner for not providing him with free food

@TimMatthews95 @Miazmaic @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal "We have an abundance of food and it's relatively cheap" - not everywhere. Point is that if you are poor and you cant afford X = its ok to kill anyone who stands in your way. That is the logic here.

@burneruvacc @Miazmaic @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal What's your point exactly? We shouldn't imply insurance companies are borderline murderous and take advantage of people because homeless people exist? You're just arguing for a more socialized economy when you invoke homeless suffering.

@Miazmaic @Governer_Grim @TheOmniLiberal We have an abundance of food and it's relatively cheap. This would make sense to say if people were starving and had to spend a whole paycheck on enough food for a day's worth of calories, or if they had to pay a subscription in order to make food more affordable.

@sabreeeeeze Sex isn't an inherently sacred act so I don't get your argument really. If your argument is that sex is more significant than that would just be a greater argument for legalization and regulation. You truly don't think someone would rather have sex than work a shift at mcdonalds?

Hasan haters are imbeciles of the highest order. He wants Kaya to be on the elevated bed because sleeping on the floor is horrible for big dog joints. For the past 3 years, every single day, you see her move around all the time over 8+ hours.

@empyrealviolet I don't think that's true. The descriptions are meant to have a narrative line of sorts. Generally you learn more "revealing" or "important" information about the world as you progress further through the game. They certainly aren't written to make up an infallible encyclopedia.

@TimMatthews95 Why are we assuming the Nox Greaves description is written from the perspective of Joe from across the street? There is no indication that item descriptions like this are being written from such a subjective point of view, rather than an omniscient narrator.

One Elden Ring fan interpretation I've never been able to get behind is that of the Greater Will as a wholly neutral entity whose only role in maintaining Order was sending the Elden Beast and Metyr. The Nox/Astel lore tells us that its "ire" was invoked, leading to their ruin.

@empyrealviolet @Nerdsat23 Yeah but literally no one aside from Metyr would know what the Greater Will "thinks." Even the two fingers are getting biased info from Metyr.

@TimMatthews95 @Oceaniz96 What they also need is to frame our character as a greenhorn hunter like they did in previous games. I miss the hunter's journey, slowly learning the ropes and slowly progressing from a rookie from an expert. Being presented as one the guild's best only to fight a Chata is lame.

@ElTyoPepe @Oceaniz96 They need better writers if they're going to continue attempting a more traditional cinematic story. I'd argue they should make small monsters an actual threat to help with pacing and giving an opportunity for smaller combat sections to ease new players into the combat.

@TimMatthews95 @Oceaniz96 Then do away with the adventure-like story structure that actively undermines half the low tier monsters in the game and, given most people's reaction to the story, it's not paying off.

@ElTyoPepe @Oceaniz96 The games would be unquestionably worse without those monsters though. Every locale needs "low-tier" monsters to make them feel more realistic and immerse the player. While also giving the opportunity to build up the larger monsters individually.

@Oceaniz96 Which is the reason monsters like Tzitzi, Paolumu, Girros and Dodogama fall flat and dont leave much of an impact on players. They are introduced way too late for the kind of monsters they are.
