Tim and I have had (many) disagreements about how the state should build economic development from the bottom up. But he has been a forthright and thoughtful leader at EDA, committed to making companies meet their promises. Hoping the next EDA head will do the same

It’s hard to *overstate* the magnitude and importance of the credit upgrade announced by @GovMurphy yday. It’s an objective, inarguable demonstration of momentum and stewardship. As we hit the back half of year 8, this fiscal record is high on the list of legacy accomplishments.

This morning, I joined soccer and tech industry leaders at @PruCenter to discuss the future of sports and entertainment in the Garden State. With the help of the @NewJerseyEDA and other partners, New Jersey is becoming the premier destination for global events – including the FIFA World Cup 2026.⚽️

In the meantime let’s focus on getting as many good manufacturing jobs in NJ as we can with a new tool that is going to do a ton of good to reshore and strengthen American and NJ manufacturing

Given the state of the market and the policy direction from Washington - it’s vanishingly unlikely that a wind component manufacturer (towers or cables etc) will apply for this program anytime soon. This depresses the hell out of me, but you’re entitled to be excited about that.

Couple quick thoughts on the Next NJ Manufacturing bill that passed yesterday. It’s the largest dedicated funding ($500m) for manufacturing in Jersey history, period, and it builds on the tremendously successful Manufacturing Voucher Program launched by @GovMurphy in 2022
