I've yet to feel like I "wasted" a token. Even if something doesn't work out, it's still part of a learning loop. Same as being a human and trying something. And when something does work, it's such high ROI, and instantly scalable and repeatable.

My whole last week of coding without Fable 5 was a waste.

I find no matter what I'm doing, it always makes sense to use the smartest AI. Even relatively low-level tasks benefit and it's always worth the added cost so far.

Honest question. For everyone that does fund announcements and start up financing announcements on a news publication that requires a subscribe link to see it - my assumption is an unbelievably tiny number of people ever read that article. Is that true? Is there some population of people who are subscribed to each of these different business publications that I’ve just never met in real life? So why are these startups and funds still doing it? Clearly, you can easily reach a bigger audience and a more targeted audience through social media. I think it has something to do with the credibility of getting a credible publication to cover you. And that actually sharing the title and the first paragraph snippet alone (from your own social media!) conveys that you have arrived. And that that alone is the reason for doing the article which actually won’t get read? Am I missing something?

@martin_casado They clarified, it's just for some coding/debugging tasks that get flagged. I haven't been having an issue.

“In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8” 😳🫠

Fable 5 is BACK. I woke up at 6am to use it, just in case.

last week we announced our seed round. thank you to everyone who reached out and supported us over the last eight months, @chrisspickett and i became obsessed with one question: how will AI agents buy software and services on the internet? that led us to build @orthogonal_sh today, teams use Orthogonal to access dozens of GTM APIs through a single interface for workflows like lead generation, lead enrichment, web research, and more whether you're using AI agents or integrating directly with our APIs, we handle the infrastructure so you can focus on your product. automating GTM workflows or building a GTM product? @johnfelix123 The craziest thing to me is VCs that walk away from deals where they don’t get their “ownership target”. Was it a good investment or not? Seems so low conviction to walk away. In the last YC batch we had 100% acceptance rate across 45+ investments, despite extreme competition.

So many LPs obsess over finding EMs that can lead. But leading usually means you won a competitive process, which also means you've lost some and gotten adversely selected on others. There's nothing wrong with writing collaborative checks and not being forced to either win the lead or walk away.

The situation after the Earthquake in Venezuela is really bad. A friend of mine grew up there and shared this GoFundme which I trust and donated to. Your support can make a huge difference - basically no government support functions are working. gofund.me/35e200ac6

Congratulations to @orthogonal_sh on their seed round! Orthogonal is a perfect example of making something agents want. Agents won't want to sign up for 50 different APIs, managing accounts and keys and rate limits at each one. They'll want to use Orthogonal. So Orthogonal is agent-pilled, but it's also a marketplace and an abstraction layer over all the things agents may want to do on the internet. We were very excited to back these outlier founders, @chrisspickett and @berasogut1. svpost.com/articles/ortho…

@TimSuzman Operative word being SF, do you think autonomous vehicles stand a chance on the roads in other locations globally with those issues I brought up?

@NajiNoname I love riding in them. Best way to get around in SF. And I think they defied the odds getting this far along while being owned by Google.

@TimSuzman What do you love about them? They don’t think contextually, they have no intelligence outside of their software, they still very prone to accidents, congestion, etc.

A new Pioneer unicorn. Congratulations to Assort! This is also really exciting for the @pioneer_fund bio and health team, who understood this startup at the pre-seed.
Dave Messina@DaveMessina

@Assort_Health is now a unicorn! $1.2B to be exact, in just 3 years. Huge congrats to Jeffrey Liu and @_JonWang and the whole Assort team. They're solving frustrating operational problems in healthcare, making it easier for doctors and their patients to communicate. I and the @pioneer_fund team are proud to have backed them since the beginning. svpost.com/articles/assor…
