For the first time at Austin Health, one whole week (Jan 9-13) was dedicated to bone and joint surgery. Bone and Joint Surgery Week was born because of the impact COVID-19 had on elective surgery, which particularly affected orthopaedics. 63 patients were successfully treated.

"Thinking back to this time last year, it was a pretty grim time in my life." In his heart of hearts, not even Sam Docherty knew he was capable of what he produced in 2022. This is his comeback story.
