3/4 The reasoning given by @HSELive for refusing to facilitate survivor led #TraumaInformedTreatment in #HSESouthWest is that their trial based trauma informed healthcare model is being led by a Principal Psychologist & @UCC researchers.

🧵1/4 Yesterday marked 1 of my 6 #Miscarriages 2 of my miscarriages had no medical intervention. Physically there was no reason for my miscarriages. Research concludes that survivors of #ChildSexualAbuse are 3 times more likely to have multiple miscarriages.

The HSE said it is “reviewing” the circumstances surrounding its failure to suspend a doctor at University Hospital Limerick (UHL) after it was initially made aware he had raped a nurse who was also working at the hospital. “We are sorry for the additional hurt this caused the victim. Our failure to promptly take the appropriate action to make the victim feel safe at work does not reflect current practice and policy.” Addressing Kila, the Victim said "To my rapist, I stood up and I am holding you accountable for your actions and I got justice." "I hope to be an inspiration for any woman who has dealt with an incident like this and encourage them to stand up and hold their rapists accountable," The woman said that prior to the rape and assault she had been "excited" to be nursing at UHL, but that after the rape she "couldn't" return there. She said she felt "physically sick" walking back into the hospital, where Kila continued working for a time. "I feared for the patients of UHL, I knew that I had gotten out of the hospital but what about those who were left behind?" The woman concluded: "I am a strong woman, I will heal from this, and I will be a stronger, more resilient version of myself. 🧵1/5 My experience of the @tusla tracing service for #adoptees has been an absolute farce. I got my redacted #birthinfo, appealed it & got 5 extra pages, still heavily redacted 🙄 I got a phonecall from Tusla saying I was on the #DNA expert waiting list.

It is despicable to take the credit for the work of the volunteers. Those volunteers diligently trawled through the records to create the boards with the names of the #Bessboro missing babies. Credit to @danielmloftus & @Project_Infant

@danielmloftus @Project_Infant I was actually gobsmacked when I saw that video. Crediting herself for the tireless work you & @Project_Infant did to create those boards is dishonest & unacceptable.

I don’t intend to create squabbles but I can’t let the work of my volunteers at @Project_Infant not be highlighted. Only for them would those boards (and extra 74 names) have been found and created. Please give credit where credit is due. Video: Corruption Awareness Ireland
