Last thing on this whole #isles discord disaster: I never had a problem w/any of the Isles House crew however If you’re paying money to be in a private chat like paying money for a “membership” to sit in a certain section, with different tiers, you’re being profited off of.

@awfulannouncing Greenberg is a reason real sports fans stopped watching ESPN. He’s a dummy and backstabbed Golic. He’s soulless and devoid of any real talent

I want to address what’s been going on and take responsibility where it’s due, honestly and directly. To Ryan (@rattmartin): I’m sorry. About a month ago I quote-tweeted one of your posts and, while my intent was not to pile on, the result was that it amplified a situation and contributed to harassment that followed you for weeks. I own that. The tweet has been deleted, but I know that doesn’t undo it. Under no circumstances do I condone that kind of behavior — not toward Ryan, not toward anyone. No post of mine should ever be used as a green light for that behavior, and I’m sorry that one was. Ethan and I completely underestimated how difficult it would be to manage a large community on Discord. A parody account built around mocking real people, jokes that crossed real lines — we should have drawn a harder line sooner, and we didn’t. Things got out of control, and that reflects on us. We’ve already taken concrete steps this week behind the scenes to clean it up, and Ryan has been a part of those conversations. More broadly, if anyone felt targeted, disrespected, or unsafe because of what came out of our community, I’m sorry. That’s not what Isles House is supposed to be, and we’re taking enforcement of that standard seriously going forward. I also want to make something absolutely clear: I had no involvement in any of the burner accounts or coordinated harassment directed at Ryan or anyone else, and none of that was organized by me or Ethan in any way. There was one parody account started by someone in our community that crossed a line - it’s been shut down, and it’s not something we’re going to allow going forward. Beyond that, the burner accounts harassing Ryan aren’t tied to us and have been traced back to people outside our community. That doesn’t minimize the harm that was done, and I’m not saying it to deflect. I’m saying it because it’s the truth, and the record deserves to be straight. We’re focused on moving forward, making this right, and building an Islanders community everyone can be proud of. As for changes to the show going forward, we’ll be addressing those separately.

I’m not a fan of all the drama that’s occurred on #Isles X over the past week but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a part of it. We all say things in the heat of arguments or behind what we think are closed doors due to immense passion for this team and sometimes we’re not proud of them. I’ve never had a burner account and I try to engage in good faith debates on here but occasionally I’ll absolutely throw some jabs that aren’t particularly kind. I appreciate the people on here that have really gotten to know me whether it’s thru games in person, X threads, phone conversations, group meetups, post game shows etc. I’ll be better going forward, we’re all on the same side. Go Isles.

I can't believe this has to be said in 2026, but be careful what you put on the internet/in online chats because that stuff doesn't go away, no matter how many times someone apologizes. Something "funny" for a few clicks isn't worth destroying your future.

Anyway, that's where I leave all of this. Tearing people down isn't fun. Getting harassed isn't fun -- it comes with the job, so I get it. Sports are fun. Debating/interacting is what I love to do. Leave the other BS at the door. If you respect me, I respect you. That's it.

Something to consider in the wake of some of this unfortunate #Isles X garbage… The beat writers use their names. I use my full name, you see my unpleasant face next to every tweet and I mention my town frequently and share vacation photos. So do many, many others like Joe Buono of Isles Fix talking NYI and I will always have time to engage with fans and influencers who do. A lot of us are on camera for podcasts. In other words, many don’t hide. It’s SO easy for some of these people to pull their crap. If you’re arguing on here with someone who’s managed to be a voice on your team and you have no idea who they are, anything can happen. They thrive on being anonymous. Little story. Some of you know that about a year ago after I suggested it was time to walk away from Lou and hire someone fresh like Darche, a guy wrote a long post saying a whole bunch of things about me that were completely untrue. I remain grateful to some of you who stood up for me and told the guy to touch grass. Maybe he was put up to it…I don’t know. Maybe deep down he’s a good person. I’d like to think so. Through a mutual contact, I said I’d like to meet the guy and walk him through everything he posted about me. I’d take it line by line and give him my truth and show him any receipts for stuff I could back up. I said I’d come in peace. Not surprisingly, the guy had no interest in meeting me. On X he’s anonymous, of course. So just for consideration to all of the great people of Islanders Country: you want to talk big, act big on here: put your name and face on it.
