@Globalsurv @elenasagiadinou These pacts are quite common. Turkey has a defense pack with Pakistan (their brothers as they mutually call each other) - Pakistani instructors train TuAF F-16 pilots after the purges in TuAF by the islamists. Nobody cared so why Turkey cries now?

🇫🇷🇬🇷🇹🇷French President 'Macron warns TURKEY — FRANCE vows to defend GREECE. Macron in Athens: France pledges to stand with Greece if Turkey threatens its sovereignty. “If Turkey threatened Greece, we would be here. We would be present. Look at what we did that difficult summer [2020], look at our stance in Cyprus. For me, this is the true definition of friendship. This is exactly what the Greek-French alliance expresses. Alliance and friendship are not complex concepts; they are something very simple: when the critical moment comes, you don't wonder what you will do the next day. You already know what you have to do. If sovereignty is threatened, know that we will be here.” This strengthens Greece’s position, boosts European defense cooperation outside full NATO consensus, and signals France’s ambition for strategic autonomy in the Mediterranean. For Turkey, it’s a direct message amid ongoing disputes over islands, EEZ, and Cyprus.

Professor Brian Cox explains using a simple light clock, time is not absolute. Because the speed of light remains constant, a light beam in a moving clock traces a longer, diagonal path from an outside observer's perspective, proving that moving clocks run slower and time literally bends to the speed of the observer. This reveals a mind-bending reality: if you journeyed through space at 99.94% the speed of light for ten years, you would return to an Earth that had aged 29 years; making you a literal time traveler into the future.

A Kuwaiti F/A-18 Hornet was the cause of the accidental shootdown of 3 F-15E Strike Eagles in a “friendly fire” incident over the country on Sunday, not a Kuwaiti “Patriot” Surface-to-Air Missile Battery like had initially been believed, three people familiar with initial reports of the incident told the Wall Street Journal. One F/A-18 launched three missiles against the F-15s, according to a U.S. official, with all three aircraft being hit and going down, but their pilots ejecting safely. The incident occurred soon after multiple Iranian drones had penetrated Kuwaiti air defenses, one striking a commercial port and killing six American servicemembers, with Kuwaiti officials on edge when their radars detected the jets flying in and fired on them.

@KieraDiss To be fair and clear - there are more than a dozen British Typhoons and F-35s in Akrotiri and still nobody would depend on them hence the Greek F-16s taking over.

🚨 CYPRUS IS DEFENCELESS GB News has broken a story that Keir Starmer TURNED DOWN an offer from the Royal Navy to place one of our destroyers in the area. Now, we’re depending on French, Greeks, Israelis and the US to defend our sovereign territory. It’s an utter shambles.

Exactly 25 years ago today, I scored my first — and only — professional goal. Contrary to what I believed at the time, goalkeepers are not allowed to handle the ball in both penalty areas. The goal was disallowed and I was sent off — still it earned me legendary status. 😉 #otd
