this is insane a coffee shop is using AI to monitor every employee and customer in real time > how many cups each barista has made > how long every customer has been waiting > who's working fast and who's falling behind walmart already does this across all their stores. it's only a matter of time before every small business has access to this kind of tech.

@rohanpaul_ai @gregsolon Sorry I disagree. AI doesn't hand out business loans last I checked. If it is the case Ai business slop and oversaturation is what will happen. The current 30% new business failure rate will rise to 99%.

in my opinion, that 33mn SMB number will only increase in the AI era, because now most of the friction to build business, are being removed. one person can build which previously needed literally 10 people. And that applies to almost any business. For software business-related business, it is now a 100x leverage. Now literally 1 person can build what previously needed 100.

Mark Cuban on the next job wave. Customized AI integration for small to mid-sized companies. "Software is dead because everything's gonna be customized to your unique utilization. Who's gonna do it for them... And there are 33 mn companies in the US."

@waitbutwhy Management and supervisors will be replaced before employees. Much easier to automate. You clock in and speak to AI on monitor on wall who happens to be your supervisor. Cameras are already placed in many stores where AI can monitor employee performance and offer advice.

Humanoid robots and drones will both be absolutely everywhere 10-20 years from now. Delivery drones flying overhead, robot janitors, baristas, grocery store employees guiding you to the right aisle, and (eventually) housekeepers—will all seem as normal as smartphones do today.
