Reflecting on the first quarter of the year, I am grateful for how everything has unfolded, regardless of the outcomes. As I get ready for Q2, Art for Friends will be minted for someone special next week, alongside a fundraiser mint. Wish you all an amazing weekend!!

How I train agentic systems: 1. Define the exact job 2. Set hard constraints 3. Build routing + review loops 4. Add escalation rules 5. Stress test for drift, cost, and failure 6. Keep humans on final approval where it matters I’m not interested in agents that look smart for 5 minutes. I want systems that operate reliably, stay cost-efficient, and keep producing quality over time.

Most people picture Bitcoin miners and AI data centers as totally separate worlds. But after digging through some 2025–2026 earnings, filings, and reports, I realized they’re actually fighting over the exact same thing: ✅️ cheap power + ready infrastructure. And right now, AI is winning the economics game! Bitcoin mining side: Post-halving life has been brutal. Cash costs to mine one BTC are running $70k–$87k for a lot of large operators. Hashprice hit multi-year lows. Revenue per MW sits around $1.2M/year but swings wildly with network competition. Hashrate keeps smashing records, yet plenty of companies are scraping by or in the red unless they have dirt-cheap electricity. Pure mining is a grind right now. 📉 AI/HPC side: Completely different beast. Same power-hungry setups, but contracts deliver ~3× the revenue per MW (some analyses say way more per kWh). Long-term 10–15 year fixed deals with 80–90% margins. No more riding BTC price and hashrate rollercoasters every day. The shift hit hard and fast. Public miners locked in over $65 billion in AI/HPC deals in 2025 alone. The shift exploded in 2025, public miners inked over $65 billion in AI/HPC deals. - @IREN_Ltd with the $9.7B Microsoft one - @Core_Scientific’s revenue exploding from @CoreWeave colocation - @Hut8Corp landing big Google/AWS plays -@TeraWulfInc -@CipherInc and more. For a lot of them, mining revenue is headed from ~85% down to under 20% of total by end of 2026. Wild stuff. Smart part: Miners already own the gigawatts of power sites, substations, and land that hyperscalers need yesterday. Retrofitting for GPUs is faster and cheaper than building new. They’re basically doing energy arbitrage, directing electrons to wherever they make the most money. Bitcoin network is still rock-solid (hashrate resilient). But the infrastructure built for one revolution is now supercharging the next. This raises the question, if miners are actively pivoting to AI, what does this mean for the BTC ecosystem on a long-term scale?

Just updated to Hermes Agent v0.4.0 and as a non-technical heavy user who lives in this thing every day… this one feels like it was made for people like me. No code, no hassle, just straight-up better. Here’s what actually changed for me: 🟩 It’s getting smarter on its own. 🤯 After every reply, it quietly reviews the chat in the background and turns useful bits into reusable skills/memory. The more I use it, the more it feels like it knows me. 🟩 Long chats just got up to 50% cheaper. 🤑 New prompt caching means it doesn’t keep resending the whole conversation history. My wallet is already thanking me. 🟩 Way easier to use. 😎 Tab-complete @ mentions for files/websites 🟩 Live streaming responses with progress bars 🟩Handy slash commands like /cost, /queue, /browser 🟩 Config changes apply instantly More places to chat with it. 🟩 Six new messaging adapters added (Signal, Matrix, SMS, etc.) plus rock-solid fixes for the ones I already use. Also plays nice with web UIs like Open WebUI if I ever want a browser version. Just feels more reliable. 💯 200+ bug fixes, better memory handling, auto-recovery… fewer “why did it die?” moments. If you’re a daily operator like me, run hermes update right now. You’ll feel the difference immediately. 🔥 Huge shoutout to the team, 300 PRs and they still kept it dead simple for non-tech users. This is the good stuff. @Teknium what a release! 🔥🔥🔥

Hermes Agent from @NousResearch has easily 10x'd my productivity. Every morning between 5-6am, my team of local agents (Qwen 3.5 4B + Llama 3.2) runs autonomously: 1. Uses Google Places API to discover local businesses in Denver, CO + surrounding area 2. Enriches contact data on the leads 3. Gathers enough context to draft personalized cold emails 4. Pushes the drafts directly into my Gmail 5. Tracks and remembers everything Right now it's generating several solid drafts each morning that I quickly review, then send or delete. If sent, the system monitors the thread and notifies me on replies. It then drafts smart follow-ups using context clues and flags me again. If deleted, it reviews the draft internally, runs it through a Claude Opus-level quality gate (3 iteration loops with detailed reports), and improves the template for next time. This quality loop keeps everything affordable at daily scale while the local models steadily get smarter from the high-end feedback. Just over 2 weeks in (after a week of tinkering and fine-tuning), Jarvis has already helped send nearly 30 cold emails to high-value leads for @MyPalettexyz, @PixelPalettePPN, and selected partners like @metasill. All leads discovered and reported autonomously every day... I dont think anyone is quite ready for what that means for small businesses & solo-founders If you or your friends aren't playing with agentic systems right now... you might need some new friends. The future is now, embrace it! 💯
