The tragedy of the Biden family isn’t political — it’s human. Years of addiction, trauma, legal problems, and obvious strain were all public long before 2024. In my view, Biden had already lost his fastball back in 2015. At some point the question became: why did the people closest to him still think another presidential run was the right move for him, his family, or the country?

Ted Cruz, 10 years ago today: “I want to tell you what I really think of Donald Trump. This man is a pathological liar...He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth…The man cannot tell the truth, but he combines it with being a narcissist at a level I don't think this country has ever seen”

More War means more debt and makes us less safe. Congress needs more fiscal hawks and more backbone. Interest on US debt is a top driver of future deficits, as past borrowing overwhelms fiscal outlook  | Fortune fortune.com/2026/05/02/int…

The danger isn’t sudden collapse tomorrow. The danger is slow national decline: less flexibility, weaker growth, inflationary pressure, currency strain, and eventually reduced global influence.
Rand Paul@RandPaul

The last time debt hit these levels, America had just helped win a World War. What's our excuse today? Runaway spending. Bloated budgets. A uniparty that refuses to say no. I've said no. I'll keep saying no. But I need Americans to demand better from their representatives. wsj.com/economy/u-s-de…

Check out C-SPAN's video! #TikTok tiktok.com/t/ZTkgM8daP/ King Charles’ speech to Congress was actually a fascinating reminder that America may have broken politically from Britain, but much of our constitutional DNA still traces back through Magna Carta, common law, and the Enlightenment tradition. When he spoke about executive power being restrained by checks and balances, it wasn’t really partisan — it was a reminder that free societies survive only when institutions are stronger than individual leaders. That’s the great challenge facing the modern West right now: can constitutional republics still preserve liberty, order, restraint, and national unity in an age driven by outrage, tribalism, and personality cults? 1215 still matters. #kingcharles

Why was Trump not escorted off the property of the Hilton by the Secret Service immediately because at that time they had no idea if there were any other suspects involved. This whole thing makes no sense & why was Trump just standing there watching the chaos. This isn’t normal!

@ChrisDJackson @JoeBiden Biden wasn’t chaos—but he also wasn’t the same guy. The fastball was gone, and people noticed. We don’t need to rewrite that to make a point.

Who else misses the boring, no-drama days of @JoeBiden? No chaos. No circus. No daily embarrassment. Just quiet competence from a president who actually knew how to do the job.

Why is political violence rising in America? After 5 years of CPOST surveys, the pattern is clear: Rising support → perceived approval → individual action It’s not just individual motive—it’s mass signals If we ignore this, the pattern will repeat before the midterms.

A nation doesn’t fall apart all at once—it frays from within. Escalating rhetoric. “Stolen” elections. “Cheaters.” “Democracy is in peril.” “Fascists.” When everything becomes existential, violence becomes more thinkable. Last night was another example. We are entering uncharted waters. #Politics #America #WhiteHouseCorrespondentsDinner

This is all true about Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. The other main point I know isn't to be mentioned in polite society is that everything in their lives proves that their primary allegiance is to Israel. That's one of many reasons Iranians refuse to negotiate with them.
Chris Murphy 🟧@ChrisMurphyCT

Here they are: our two top Iran negotiators. No diplomatic experience. In way over their head. Both with massive financial conflicts of interest, their fortunes tied to the Middle East dictators that make them rich. What a distaster.
