@TimCowlishaw A healthy Stars squad is closer to winning a cup right now than the Avalanche. They have the size and heavy play style it takes to survive the grind. You’re close. -Avs fan

So how close are the Stars? Feels like they’re as good as Vegas. On the other hand, Stars lost to Wild in 6 who lost to Colorado in 5 who lost to Vegas in 4. That, on paper, is the opposite of being close.

@PeteBlackburn I think CBJ beating the presidents trophy winners in 4 games in the FIRST round might edge out this one. Vegas just won a cup and their center depth and D-core is just awesome. Cool that torts is apart of ‘19 and ‘26

As far as most stunning/embarrassing series results in somewhat recent memory, it's: 1) Bruins/Panthers '23 2) Avs/Golden Knights '26 3) Lightning/CBJ '19 ... ..... 4) everything else

Y'all it was the CONFERENCE FINAL. Yes, they played like shit for it but you don't fire your most SUCCESSFUL COACH IN FRANCHISE HISTORY, who turned the laughingstock of the NHL around in FIVE YEARS, for getting to the conference finals.

@rockiesghost @Spence0202 Those two are the heavy standard in the West, no argument. Avs mostly have the big players to match. What they’re missing is the system.

If you fire this staff, what new coach will change Nathan Mackinnons or Cale Makars play style? This team will always play to thier style so long as they're on this team. So what coach comes in that will continue this playstyle without a roster overhaul?

Nathan Mackinnon has won one Stanley Cup in 12 seasons yet you don't hear a damn thing about it. But when Ovechkin and the Capitals constantly fell short of expectations before winning a Cup in Ovi's 13th season, that's all the media could talk about. Wonder why that is

I’m not a Vegas fan, but if Carter Hart lifting the cup is what it takes for those heated rivalry and pronoun people to stop watching hockey, I’m all for it.

Great series for one side with VGK/Avalanche. I feel bad for MacKinnon, Makar, Landy, and Colorado fans. I really don’t know where you go from here. Moving on from Bednar? Idk yet… the roster just isn’t big enough, tough enough, physical enough imo. Necas might have to go Hope Nathan gets another Cup one day, hope it’s in Colorado. #SoMuchRespect

@NHL_Muse Nah, everyone's overreacting. They should extend him in a move of good faith. Would probably make the whole team play with more trust. That's the right thing to do.

@marcantoine006 @NHL_Muse There is a reoccurring theme of Bednar teams getting dominated by the heavier Western teams. It’s time to shake it up

@jamesmerilatt make drastic roster changes first. start with a sign and trade of Makar. get a few draft picks plus free up $16+ million of space.

Is it all on Jared Bednar? Of course not. But the logical first move is to try a new head coach. If that doesn’t work, then you make drastic roster changes. Why is this difficult to grasp?

@Nmartell97 @KArnoldffk @puckempire Also, it was not so easy for Georgiev or Annie in the past when the Avs also dominated possession time and had a mostly similar d core in front of them.

@Timp_17 @KArnoldffk @puckempire Are we watching the same games? The goals have been brutal also it’s easy to have a good save % and GAA when your team dominates time of possession and per money puck hes rated as the 20th ranked goalie in the league which isn’t very impressive for leading in save % and gaa

@Nmartell97 @KArnoldffk @puckempire I’ll meet you half way here. Wedgewood was not great in game 3. However, he is not the primary reason they are down 3-0 in this series, and if you have any puck sense you know this too.

@Nmartell97 @KArnoldffk @puckempire Lazy reply. Wedgewood led the league in save % and GAA in the regular season. If you think this 3-0 hole is on the goaltending, you’re wrong.

@Dani718 Bruce Cassidy. He’s the type of coach the Avs need to light a fire under this core in their remaining window. I understand he’s still controlled by VGK, but there are ways the Avs can get it done.

There is so much to unpack and figure out after this series, but Avs fans cant just say fire Bednar without an actual, better, alternative. Not just any person who is not named Bednar can come in and get better playoff results. That's not realistic, nor is it smart. #GoAvsGo

@KArnoldffk @puckempire Why? The front office has made every possible change to shake up this team, at what point does it fall on Bednar? His finesse scheme and mellow demeanor is clearly holding this team back

@puckempire I don’t get how fast management turns on the coach. I don’t care for the Avs but getting rid of Bednar would be a mistake.
