Based on reports from multiple sources, here's what I am piecing together regarding the Iran operation. The formulating potential leadership of Iran is actively talking to the President. They are caving, while they present a public relations front of strength to the people of Iran, as if they are somehow winning or holding strong in their resistance (like Venezuela). So when Trump says they are caving, he is not lying. The issue is the loyalists to the old guard, and they are high in number, whose hatred for the West will never be quenched. This is a case of two things being true at the same time. Yes, the leadership is giving in; they have no choice, as the world is slowly starting to get on board to protect the strait of Hormuz against them now that their interests are being impacted (brilliant move by the president). But the battle will be long from over, as splinter groups will continue to fight, driven by decades of hate and religious zeal. I believe the offensive portion of the operation will wind down soon, but we will have to remain in a defensive posture for months. Maybe even years. Just my two cents.
