🇨🇳Huawei’s 10.4 Billion KM of Real-World ADS 5 Testing: The Safety Data That Made My Jaw Drop 🫢 One staggering statistic stood out instantly as I reached the Huawei booth at the Beijing Auto Show. Huawei has logged more than 10.4 billion kilometres of real-world Qiankun ADS assisted driving, backed by an investment of 18 billion CNY (~$2.6 billion USD) into its cloud and intelligent technology infrastructure to power all of this live, real-time data. Read that again! 👈 I’ve been driving around China with a proper local licence long enough to know these roads aren’t some orderly simulation. They’re chaotic, packed with e-bikes darting through gaps, sudden pedestrians and every weather surprise you can imagine. So, when you see the numbers, vehicles running Huawei’s new ADS 5 are 4.2× safer than the average driver and even regular human driving with AEB support is 2.87× safer. It really stands out. That’s not theory from a lab; that’s millions of actual trips on the same streets I use every single day. The all-new CAS 5.0 with its full 6D safety (they layered in “All-Time Domain” proactive prevention and post-incident protection, on top of the original 5D) feels like practical engineering that actually matters. As a father with my daughter in the back seat most days, these aren’t just empty claims. It’s peace of mind for real driving scenarios. Contrary to popular belief, Huawei doesn’t actually make cars. They supply the intelligent driving layer that’s already inside 50+ models from 25+ brands. After spending time at the booth looking at the data, you can understand why the iteration speed here in China is on another level. This isn’t a distant future promise; it’s what’s already happening on the streets right now. @Huawei

Is there anything more depressing than left wing architecture?
