@SurvivalGN If you can't hunt in a survival game it's a woke retarded trash. That's one of the main goals of a survival game. Which is to prepare tools that allow you to tackle previously unbeatable threats. But the devs gone "no you can't hurt the fishies you bad chud" and people got bored.

What happened to Subnautica 2? The game peaked at almost 500k players on launch day and lost 70% of its player base within a week.

In doing so, we overlooked the potential offense and harm that the ongoing debate surrounding AI-generated content could cause to our players and the creator community. We feel deeply uneasy and apologetic about this, and we sincerely accept the criticism. After carefully considering voices from all sides, we held a vote across our major platforms regarding whether the event should proceed. Based on your feedback and our own internal review and reflection, we have made the following decision: Effective immediately, the "Golden Paw Awards" event is officially canceled. I hope Mixtape wins Game of the Year. No, seriously. I want it to win. Give the industry plant the award it wants that most players already don't respect anymore. It winning would just seal the deal. If it wins literally any award, not even GOTY, it just adds fuel to the fire. For the record, if you enjoy the game, that's fine. There's no need to harp on what enjoyment some people get out of it. It's fine that it's a linear game, with a linear story, with little interaction needed from the player—I'm not being facetious or two-faced here. If you enjoy it, that's totally fine. I've played flash games, old games, new games, indie games, AAA games, VN's, all of them with various ways to play and limited to extensive ways to interact with the game. What's upsetting is the sheer level of support this "indie" game is seeing across every outlet. Playstation, Xbox, defending it, every "gaming" reviewer giving something with limited player choice glowing reviews while other games get snubbed is disheartening to say the least. Seeing people's hard work, love and dedication be cast aside because enough money was dumped is a bit of a buzzkill.

IGN is just a joke at this point. They gave the industry plant Mixtape a 10 but Subnautica 2, the most wishlisted game on Steam, a 7. I think they're laughing and baiting us. There's no serious journalism nowadays.

I’m cancelling my party animals collab for my debut, and I’ll be refunding the game. Someone in my community brought this to my attention (thankfully) and I’ll now be switching this game to REPO or something close. Finally caught up with Mixtape and gosh the tears in my eyes...the plot, the characters, the art, the lore, the emotional moments, the dialogue, the writing…everything was hack garbage from beginning to end.

@AI_EmeraldApple I played the game and refused to force myself to finish it. I got to the part where they go to there sisters room for more booze and I just couldn’t handle the garbage this game was it was boring and stupid af. The best part, making slushies and that’s pathetic.

Mixtape review: I didn't play it; I watched it because it has no gameplay. Spoilers ahead. It is, in essence, a cringe nostalgia porn for perpetual adolescents. It's basically 3 friends skate around a sleepy 90's town, cry about a mix tape, drive around, get on a shopping cart, kiss, light a cabin on fire, and "hug it out" while the credits roll. It has ZERO stakes, zero twists, zero balls, just pure... "last day of high school" nostalgia slop set to a real 90's soundtrack. The whole movie/game is just 3 hours of "remember when we did that thing?" flashbacks with no real gameplay, no need for controls + tongue kissing simulator... and then the twist is the rebellion when Cassanda yells at her cop dad, and he just lets her go.... huh?!? It's this usual Hollywood-artsy garbage about everyone learning a gentle lesson about change without accountability that is so common in so many indie movies recently... No wonder the same kind of perpetual adolescent adults love this crap. The story is just aggressively mid... It's just toxic comfort food for the perpetual man-children who want to feel like they are 17 again without ever growing up. So I'm reviewing it like a movie, because the multiple endings are just different dialog options that don't meaningfully change the story. 3/10 - garbage. It's like if they made Superbad into a video game without all the chaos, without the crude jokes, without all the edge. I think the worst thing about this is that these critics really love this... which means so many of these kinds of man-childs are in positions of power, in entertainment and everywhere... no wonder everything is so shit. It's these freaks that have been gatekeeping what gets funded and what doesn't in the West for decades!

My last post on Mixtape: This game isn't one you're supposed to stream to people. It's one you enjoy by yourself and reflect on life. There's no agenda. There's no politics. There's not even really gameplay, but that's okay. There's just being able to look back at the moments you grew up with. That's why its so good. We live in a world where people are performative. Where everything we do is judged and reposted, liked, shared... This game brought me back to the times where I spent 30 minutes setting my AIM away message. When me and my friends would wander streets away from our house until I heard my dad whistle. When I wandered out with my buddies in some parking lot to smoke clove cigarettes because we thought that was cool. If you don't want to spend a couple hours by yourself with your own thoughts thinking about the moments that made you who you are... fine. But Mixtape was deliberately made not to make you nostalgic for the 90s, but make you nostalgic for that moment in your life that took place around then. Maybe you were a bit older, maybe you were a bit younger, but the people who grew up between the 80s and early 00s lived in such a unique cross section of technology and humanity. We could disappear for hours and then come back and play WoW with people all over the world. That's what Mixtape does so well. Everyone has moments in their life that they should reflect on. If you choose not to, it's your loss.

But it’s not worth the hype it’s getting. It’s meh at best. Should have been a short film
