*yawn* (streeetch)
so....anything new, #Timberwolves fans?
English

@Y0Leo What is that they say about when a guy's highlight reel consists of one highlight?
English

@A1WolfDay1 @dosnetlive ha - and it ended worse than that: 2/$45MM. This deal, 4/$80 for Jakob Poeltl. 4/$130 for VanVleet...Crazytown out there.
I feel so good about how the Wolves navigated free agency.
English

@TipToTap @dosnetlive Now it’s getting the ridiculous level like what Delly got… smdh

The Pacers could offer Bruce Brown over $20M per year 😳, per @JakeLFischer “If Brown were to return to the Nuggets, he’d be eligible for a four-year, $50 million-plus deal. But there’s been plenty of word in recent days that the Indiana Pacers could be the team that slaps a lucrative deal worth over $20 million annually for Brown, sources said.” (Via sports.yahoo.com/2023-nba-free-…)

@TipToTap @dosnetlive I thats the case, then trade both KAT and Rudy 🤷♂️
English

@A1WolfDay1 @dosnetlive ah. If I thought we were >>that close<< I'd be there. As it is, I'm interested less interested in rentals; more interested in assembling as much of a roster as is possible that will be here through Ant's/Jaden's prime, in pursuit of that elusive "continuity."
English

@TipToTap @dosnetlive I’m not trying to keep salaries in line. I wanna win a championship in the next couple of years, and the best way to do that is to get guys that just recently performed on a championship team. If it goes South after next year, avoid the tax and trade KAT or Rudy.
English

@A1WolfDay1 @dosnetlive I'm sure we're not far off from each other's opinions. I'm just saying that there is a "Brown tax" right now. Guys on finals rosters is where I would look *last* if I'm working hard to keep salaries in line.
English

@TipToTap @dosnetlive I see what you’re saying, but Brown would have the same role with the Wolves as he did with the Nuggets. Delly got way too much money and starter expectations. Brown also showed to be a good player in Brooklyn. I think giving Brown $20M+ & starting PG role would be a mistake.
English

@A1WolfDay1 @dosnetlive I mean, so did Matthew Dellavedova! I'm just saying that we tend to inflate the value of *every* player that doesn't shit the bed on the biggest stage. Not a terrible accomplishment to be sure, but being on a team with Jokic or peak LeBron helps a guy look good.
English

@TipToTap @dosnetlive But one has already proved it. In big games. Under the biggest lights and the best competition. It’s a known performer versus a maybe.
English

@JrHamsandwich I just discussed with staff and we are all in agreement that yes, DLo is definitely a professional basketball player
English

@4arlandria @jakepaynting @canishoopus @robtodd22 @DaneMooreNBA @brittrobson @JaceFrederick @Kyle_Ratke @KyleTheige @TheJeffBissoy @JonKrawczynski not a huge Oubre guy...I'm increasingly in favor of surrounding Ant w/low-usage, smart vets that enable him.
I think of this as a win-win as we don't need guys taking shots away from either Ant or KAT and low-usage players (even smart, effective ones) tend to be undervalued.
English

Dear Rob Pelinka, do something now. Either blow it all up and rebuild, or mortgage the future to fix the lack chemistry and skill on this basketball team. Do not let another season meander its way down the drain, wasting the great Lebron James’ sunset of his career. @Lakers
