PHOTOS: Backpacks, notebooks litter classrooms after Ogbomoso school attack On May 15, armed men attacked schools and surrounding communities in Oriire LGA of Oyo state, abducting pupils, students and teachers. The attacks affected Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Yawota, Community Grammar School, and L.A Primary School in Esin Ele, all within the Ogbomoso axis. Yawota and Esin-Ele are Villages under Ogbomoso, they are about 1Hr drive from the heart of Ogbomoso city. Days after the attack, abandoned school bags, lunch boxes and scattered notebooks remain inside the classrooms. Desks were left empty while unfinished notes and lessons reflected the sudden disruption caused by the invasion.

You’re telling me I should submit to someone just because he’s a man. No leadership skills, emotional intelligence or sufficient funds. Just because I’m a woman and he’s a man? 😹😹😹😹

Yesterday, May 19th, in Abuja, I attended the Presidential screening organised by our party, which took over two and a half hours. They carefully reviewed all my documents, including my degree certificates, NYSC credentials, and age declarations. During the process, I also addressed questions regarding my vision for a new Nigeria and the type of leadership our nation urgently needs right now. Following this, I was cleared and received the presidential nomination form I had previously paid for. I would like to commend the screening committee, led by former governor Sam Egwu, for their thorough and professional approach. Additionally, I appreciate our party's leadership for upholding the democratic process. A New Nigeria is POssible. - PO

Where are all the people making noise about cyberbullying? Now, this is what real bullying looks like. This is typically what a slightly richer, more powerful person can do to another person and get away with it in Nigeria. The reckless driver did not pronounce her children dead, her actions actually killed them. You see the difference? Now, you see that energy you people are using to fight for a multi-millionaire celebrity family because of a mean tweet about their daughter, this is where it is needed. This woman deserves justice. This is why the only objective thing to do in a country like Nigeria is always to protect the poor against the rich in every circumstance, because if this were done to a rich person, I promise you the perpetrator would have been dealt with by now, and the victim wouldn't be online crying for justice. This is what poor people go through regularly in Nigeria, but the priority of supposed educated Nigerians is to support laws designed to protect the emotions of rich people. Very weird society, I swear.

Mrs. Amarachi Promise Esomonu recounts the heartbre@king moment a vehicle rammed into her three children right in front of her, k!ll!ng them instantly on May 15, 2026, in Rivers State. According to her, the man was teaching his girlfriend how to drive that night when the girlfriend ran into her three kids. She said immediately the incident happened, the boyfriend quickly came out from the passenger side and entered the driver’s seat in an attempt to drive off with the car. However, she held him back before residents in the area came out and apprehended him.

Yesterday, 18th May 2026, in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, a group of northerners was discovered living in a bush area that had not been allocated to them by the community or any authority. This incident has raised serious concerns about insecurity, as it highlights how these individuals were able to settle and establish themselves in the area for a considerable period without the knowledge of the local community.

@Dee_9889 If not for bad intent why will you go to another Mans land live in the bushes and uncompleted buildings not allocated to you? Hausa people are fond of that, they'll hardly rent houses and live in the community like Igbos do when they enter Hausa land.

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks building Looters: a public archive of Nigerian political corruption since the 1990s. Governors, ministers, shell companies, Swiss accounts, the Jersey trusts, — one searchable graph. You too can connect the dots: 1000reasons.vote/looters

@AfricaFactsZone, Thank you for bringing this up. First, it's true I took back my ambulance & I have no apologies for that. Why did I do it? It's because they didn't vote for me. So did you expect me to walkaway with nothing? Galatians 6:7 A man reaps what he sows.

Today, I arrived at my polling unit in Ward 3, Ita Osanyin, Iperu-Remo, within Ikenne Local Government Area, to participate in the Ogun East Senatorial Primary of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg). It was encouraging to witness the peaceful conduct of party members, stakeholders, and loyal APC faithful who turned out to exercise their democratic rights in an orderly and responsible manner. The enthusiasm and unity displayed by our people once again reflect the strength, maturity, and progressive spirit of our party across Ogun East. I remain deeply grateful for the overwhelming support, trust, and confidence reposed in me by leaders, delegates, and members of the APC. Together, we will continue to strengthen our party, uphold internal democracy, and sustain the collective vision of progress, stability, and development for Ogun State and our people. #APC #OgunEast #IperuRemo #BuildingOurFutureTogether
