Congressional primary candidate for NY-7th @claireforny avoided the topic of Ukraine while campaigning. Given the first chance to speak about the deadliest invasion on earth she complained about aid cost and called for more stalled talks. Being truly anti-war means taking action.



We’ve lost Venezuela. We might lose Cuba. The condition of Palestine is desperate. Global climate action is dead. Technofascists are running everything. The US “left” is Magafied populist trash in possession of zero brain power.



In 1932, 60% of German graduate students supported the Nazis vs. 18% of the general public. The "educated people are always liberal" thesis has a pretty ugly counterexample.


I remain convinced that @TheStalwart is right: shift toward algorithmic media is lowering the salience of national identity. This isn't irreversible. Technology will keep shaking the kaleidoscope. But it's a trend that helps explain otherwise puzzling aspects of youth politics.
