The Dezi Freeman Horror Story Must Be Investigated Thoroughly. Mark Butler had me at "investigations of two homicides and a police shooting will be detailed and exhaustive...." I got one more paragraph before I stopped reading... which was, "Who was the man who called himself Dezi Freeman and why did he do what he did?" Why? What prompted me to know I was listening to either an uneducated opinion, or a cover up of sorts? Because Victoria had the same, err hum, "exhaustive" and "detailed" investigation into what is known as The Bourke Street mall tragedy... which I know of as fact two situations that were missed in the detailed and exhaustive investigation. That being, the misuse of A.I. being levelled on the person who go himself that worked up, that aggravated, he thought his best move, literally to "get at" the person, the police officer, who was having "sport" with him, was his best option. That is not suggesting if a trusted person in our society should ever abuse their position of power and think it will be fun to waste taxes on having "sport" with a person, even if he was a meth smoking wanna be gangster regularly seen in Melbourne' red light district, that the way to react to that is to turn a car into a missile. Not one bit, but it is saying the person abusing their position, again, not to solve or prevent crimes, just for "shits and giggles" is just as culpable... because 6 people would have been alive, including a baby, had they not used A.I. to poke, to aggravate, the bloke. But wait, it gets worse for both Mark "exhaustive & detailed investigations" Butler from the Herald Sun, because 7 years after that event, so about 5 years after the detailed and exhaustive investigation into the Bourke Street mall tragedy, not only did that exhaustive and detailed investigation not expose the misuse of A.I. on Gargasoulos that horrible day, but it was also, again, 5 years after any investigations, being used still by those in Victoria's law and order system who could not for one second see how it was them responsible for the state of Victoria's worse atrocities, literally... that then morphed into it being used on Melbourne Drug Court participants, and I quote "to show there is a downside to drug use", I kid you not, which then led to what? Surprise, surprise, that's right, more innocent members of the public getting stabbed and hurt and very, very nearly the brave, young first responding police officers having a small axe whacked over their heads. Talk about being set up and thrown under the bus by your colleagues. Which is the real question surrounding the entire Dezi Freeman horror story, it really is. If history is the best indicator of the future, it is one the public of Victoria, nor most of Victoria Police, will ever truly know the answers to.
