Ontem à tarde foi intensa. ⚡ Abrimos com um deep dive do @stevenroose3 sobre as diferentes gerações do Ark, bem no estilo whiteboard. Depois, o desafio de 24h do Zipkin da @ChaincodeLabs com o Quorumeum colocou todo mundo em clima de hands-on. Foi um ótimo role playing de open source, trazendo na prática código, review, dificuldades de comunicação e coordenação, e até as dinâmicas de consenso. Vinteum BDL Mentor Spotlight: Daniela Brozzoni (@danielabrozzoni) ⚡ Daniela is a Bitcoin Core developer focused on PR review and peer-to-peer. She is here with B4OS (@libdesatoshi) to run a session with @vinteum_org teaching the "functional test framework" in Bitcoin Core. She shares the importance of working in-person with fellow developers, and how she sees herself reflected in the students she teaches.

Vinteum BDL Student Spotlight: Lucas Bailieiro ⚡ Lucas Baileiro, a BDL grad from last year's cohort, is now an @OpenSats grantee working on @StratumV2. He shares the story of being mentored by @plebhash, an opportunity that came through @vinteum_org.

Vinteum BDL Mentor Spotlight: Matthew Zipkin ⚡ "It's a simulation of the Bitcoin Core development process but in a hackathon environment." Matthew tells us about the "quorumeum" challenge he ran for students in the @vinteum_org and @libdesatoshi programs during BDL week. In the interview he shares what the role of a Bitcoin maintainer actually looks like, and how changes get merged into Bitcoin Core. Matthew works on educational initiatives at @ChaincodeLabs, and is impressed by what he sees from the Latin American Bitcoin communities.

Vinteum BDL Mentor Spotlight: Steven Roose (@stevenroose3) 🪿 Steven ran an Ark whiteboarding session at BDL week, walking students through the core concepts behind Ark: covering hArk, clArk, Erk, and how different covenant designs shape each approach. Steven hired BDL grad Luca to join @secondhq as a QA engineer, and shares why @vinteum_org is effective at preparing students for the workforce.
