@mvidallopez @lunaticoin Lo tienes muy bien Miguel y haces un buen análisis. Es buena idea refrigerar los reguladores de forma activa, para cuidarlos, y aumentar su vida útil. Ellos son los que más sufren aquí. Esto es debido a que los chips se alimentan en paralelo, no en serie.

@lunaticoin @BitMaker_ Yo también me he llevado una sorpresa agradable (los chips solo a 45°C) pero ten en cuenta que la cámara no es tan precisa como el sensor de la placa. En el dashboard siempre lo más caliente es el regulador de voltaje. Además lo tengo ahora sin overclocking. Estoy contento así.

Imagen tomada con mi cámara termográfica (tengo una? sip) del NerdOctaxe en pleno funcionamiento (10.5TH/s y 186W en pared). El calor se concentra en torno a las 6 fases del regulador de voltaje entre las cuales se distribuye la temperatura.

Sin duda ahora estamos en un buen momento para que OpenSource vuelva a brillar en minería. Lastima que siempre lo hagamos con chips de terceros

@lunaticoin @BitronicsStore @Public_Pool_BTC @start9labs @BitMaker_ Halong Mining duró poco pero tuvo gran apoyo de la comunidad (incluso desde Bitcoin Core) y bastante importancia para obligar a Bitmain a jugar más limpio. Su mayor hito fue implementar de forma abierta (liberaron la patente) e inocua AsicBoost (Bitmain usaba una versión oculta).

El NerdOctaxe rev 3.1, he encontrado un buen balance a 11.3 TH/s, solo 190W (~16J/TH), casi inaudible. Software libre en hardware libre, es una belleza. Made in @BitronicsStore. Solo-mining contra un pool local (@Public_Pool_BTC) en un nodo de @start9labs. @BitMaker_ @lunaticoin

The new BM1373 reminds me of the dual-core logic: now they’re putting 2 ASICs together (2x BM1370) and boom, BM1373, the S23 Bitmain chip 10J/TH

@mvidallopez @lunaticoin @skot9000 Sí señor, no tenemos ni idea de cuándo terminará de cumplirse. Pero siempre son muy ingeniosos. Lo que está pasando en los ASICs me recuerda al momentum de los Dual-core. Ahora se juntan 2ASICs (2xBM1370) y se crea el BM1373 (S23 Bitmain chip) :D

@lunaticoin @BitMaker_ @skot9000 Otro comentario (esta más de detalle). La ley de Moore no es eterna. Moore (cofundador de Intel, no un mero empleado) la formuló en 1965 y ha sido válida durante 60 años. Pero cada vez se enfrenta a los límites físicos y atómicos del silicio. No se cumplirá siempre.

@karpuzmining @BitMaker_ @Pmaxsd Bitcoin Merch is the only place that is taking pre-orders for 'em for $399. $399 for 2.5Ths? The efficiency, ~10J/TH, is outstanding and a nice stand, copper heat sink, and Noctua fan would do it justice but I wouldn't dish out more than $250 for one.
