I’m super excited to announce that I’ve reacquired Press Start from SCA and it will now operate independently as Australia’s largest gaming and tech community. I’ve given so much to Press Start over the last 13 years and I didn’t think I’d ever have the opportunity to own it again. I’m so thankful to SCA for believing in the brand over the last decade, recognising its importance in the local landscape and agreeing that it is best placed in my care moving forward. I’m really motivated to navigate this next chapter and have loads of ideas for what Press Start can become, alongside Always-On and my personal channels to combine and reach as many Aussie gamers and tech-heads as possible. Being independent allows for the agility required to do that. I'm back to work as normal currently - which is tough, but also I get anxious being away from work, and the distraction is welcome too. Sorry I've been out of form with posting, hoping to be back on it ASAP! ❤️

I'm still persevering, because I have to, but by god is it draining. It is obviously so, so hard for him right now, and I really worry about what to do, because he increasingly is giving up, and I love him so much. Not seeking advice - just venting as it's a tough night! 🙏❤️

My home situation unfortunately continues to be very difficult - tonight is another really bad one. Feel a bit helpless as a partner with my other half in mental health crisis that I'm unable to help him from. Just crying and death threats non-stop. Incredibly draining. 💔

@Asmo_Hazuki Yes, to be clear, this isn't a big deal or something I'm traumatised by etc. She was stressed going through a divorce, and I'm about that age now. I get it. And I'm sure she'd be embarrassed by it now. My point was this sort of thing is negative and memorable, and to avoid it.

I'm 33 now, and I still remember crying when I was 6 and my mum ripped my Goosebumps book in half for leaving it on the windowsill. Do not do this. This is not core memories you want your children to have of you.

@olahf84 Yuuup, I did not mean to paint a picture of me being abused, or that this event traumatised me or anything like that, I'm sure she'd be embarrassed to hear I remember this, the point was that this actions *are* negatively impactful, and more easily remembered.

@Toadsanime I might have been 3-4 and during a manic episode my mom picked up and threw my blue polka dotted piggy bank the the wall and shattered it. I am 41 why is that my first canon memory. She is better now but all I can remember is the manic times not the good ones from childhood.

@HomerD0h That's valid, and sorry that it is taking so long. A mix of our lofty preservation goals requiring additional patches made to have fixes on disc/cart, our fancy versions, and backlog of platformholder submissions. We've just hired a producer last week to help speed things up!

@Toadsanime Too bad it's taking so very, very long for these releases to come out after Lost In Cult takes your money. A year is not something to applaud.

@levas1786 @CacaManPowa I think maybe when someone tells a personal negative story, maybe don't share a take on how you think it was good. It's weird seeing you debate my experience in replies. I am a real person! No, my mum was just going through a divorce with my dad and was easily angered.

@CacaManPowa @Toadsanime Maybe its not about the book per se. Maybe its the inability to listen and that could be the lesson? Lots of kids are abused verbally and physically much more harshly in the world for me not to weep over a broken Switch or a torn book.
