Hey fam, here’s a simple overview for everyone who joined recently and wants to understand what we are actually building. NØNOS is a new operating system built completely from scratch with one purpose: to create a computing environment that can be verified, not merely trusted. Instead of depending on Linux or any existing OS, we start at the very beginning of the stack, the bootloader, the kernel and the cryptographic foundations. The system runs entirely in RAM, leaves no persistent trace and is compiled through deterministic, reproducible builds so that every component can be inspected and proven. The kernel has its own capability-based isolation model, its own cryptographic subsystem and a zero-state security architecture designed so that every process operates under strict, signed policies with no hidden behavior. As the system grows, nønos becomes a verifiable execution layer that can integrate directly with Ethereum, allowing machines to prove their state, their rules and the conditions under which they operate. This is early-stage work, but the direction is clear: build the foundation properly, without shortcuts and create an operating system capable of supporting the next generation of secure, trust-minimized computation.
