This is where we’re headed with @xrppossum 🪐 One person, standing at the edge of something bigger, looking out at a world that’s still being built. That’s basically the whole story of XRPL right now. A lot of people think of it as just a fast, cheap way to move XRP around. That’s true, but it undersells what’s actually happening on this chain. XRPL has been running since 2012, way before most of the chains people hype up today even existed. It settles transactions in 3 to 5 seconds, costs a fraction of a cent, and doesn’t rely on mining that burns through electricity. The network was built for payments first, which is why banks and payment companies have quietly been building on it for years while everyone else was chasing the next meme coin. What’s changed lately is that XRPL stopped being just a payments rail and started becoming a real ecosystem. NFTs, DEXs, tokenized assets, gaming projects, community tokens. Native support for issuing tokens and NFTs is baked into the protocol itself, so builders don’t need to stitch together five different smart contracts just to launch something. That’s part of why you’re seeing so many small, scrappy projects pop up on XRPL right now.
